Perfect place, very good food

We often go there because eveybody can find something to eat. There are so many options from all over the world: vegan, vegetarian or meat/fish.
It can be quite noisy if really busy, but nobody minds children running around :-)
It also has very relaxed cafes to hang out

Pros: Huge variety of food, International options

Cons: Might be quite noisy if really busy

🇺🇦 food - absolutely loved it!

You can find food from all over the world. I chose Ukrainian food as I love it and it’s not easy to find. Support the owner from Bucha, she came to Switzerland because of the war. I tried borsch and vareniki. Perfect!!

Pros: Friendly staff, A lot of options, Beautiful stand

Different food stalls in one place

This is a great spot where you can get many different foods. A lot of the food stalls serve vegan options and they also have 2 bars inside as well as a organic grocery store 👌 only downside: you smell like you are a meal yourself after you have been in there for some time 🦆

My favorite: the indian food stall "Dabbawalas" - everything is vegetarisn/vegan and they are super friendly

Good variety of options

Shop around the market hall for a good selection of vegan meals. There are some really cool spaces in here. I are an Indian curry followed by an amazing hot chocolate.

Many places to eat

Hard to choose where to eat as at least 50% of the stalls had a vegan option. Great to visit if you are looking for a casual meal/lunch. Lots of cuisines from around the world 🌎

Great selection

There are different restaurants which you can choose from and a lot offer vegan options. Its also perfect to go there with people who would like to eat meat or not the same kind of food as you. The different restaurants have food from all over the world. The atmosphere is pretty chilled but its a bit loud and noisy because the hall is pretty big. So I wouldnt recomend to go there for a romantic dinner or so.

Many vegan options!

You can find vegan options at almost every "restaurant". I tried the mixed plate from the persuan gulf (just without the yogurt sauce) and the masala dosa (a gluten free indian crepe with a lentil dahl & coconut chutney) which were both incredibly flavorfull!

Great variety of vegan foods

Been here a few times already, today I had a Caribbean vegan curry at the Caribbean house which was really cool with some mango salad with it as well as sweet potatoes in the curry, so yummy!
I also love the baked goods from Cool Bean, many of which are vegan like a whole grain vegan Gipfeli, a vegan Schoggi Täschli and a vegan Veta Täschli. Also, they have very good bread!
Update few weeks later: Persian gulf doesn't have a vegan plate on the menu but can make one for you and it is most delicious! Just don't take the joghurt sauce.

Tons of unusual flavors

There aren't many places where you can get such a diverse selection of vegan foods. They location in the large marked hall is very nice, too. So this is one of the top places in Basel for vegan food, if you can do without table service.
