I will be dreaming about this place. So good we ate here two days in a row. The food is freaking incredible. It’s an adorable spot, good music, the cutest dog ever (I guess her humans are the owners?). I would eat here all the time if I lived in Ciudad de México. Don’t miss the chilaquiles 😻 or the molletes. Honestly I think the pancakes were the best pancakes I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten a lot of pancakes. This place is a gem. Easily 15/10 stars. ⭐️

I still think about this place, they just absolutely knocked it out of the park. Cute family-owned shop that makes some incredible food. The matcha latte is one of the best I've ever had (love the light touch of cinnamon!), and the crepes are just unbelievably good.

Staff were incredibly friendly and the food was just wonderful. They make everything from scratch- it takes a bit to prepare- but so worth it. The flavors are outstanding. I had enchiladas mole - and was in heaven. My portion was big- I struggled to finish but loved the taste. Highly recommend coming here.

So good!!! We had the hot cakes, enchiladas de mole (with tofu scramble), chilaquiles verde with milanes. Oh and a smoothie. Yes big breakfast and we were full. The flavors all blended so well, the ingredients were fresh and the staff nice.

This incredibly cute cafe in the nicest area of Mexico City is a BIG recommend!! Coming from Berlin i still argue that if we had this place in Berlin I’d go there everyday 😍 the food is amazing and they have all sorts of different dishes, both sweet and savory, and very good portions. The people are awesome as well. If you’re in Mexico City you shouldn’t miss this place

We ordered enchiladas with mole which were filled with scrambled tofu (really good) and 2 types of tacos. The tacos were quite big and would have also been great but came out incredibly oily (which you can see in the photo) and I didn't feel good afterwards as a result despite trying to soak some of the oil up with napkins. Otherwise, I think this is a cool little spot and without the excess oil, great food too.

Soggy chilaquiles, oily burrito - Edit
They put my chilaquiles in a bowl causing all the tortilla chips to quickly get soggy. Ruined the entire meal.
Read moreThe burrito was dripping with oil, got a stomach ache after. There was a puddle of oil on my plate after. The burrito didn’t come with any rice, veggies, cilantro, etc, just meat and cheese.
Their bistec is really fatty and chewy, no bueno.
Their prices have more than doubled from 2 years ago.

This is not a super healthy vegan place, of course we cook with oil but you’re exaggerating, also, if you eat slowly your chilaquiles then don’t expect them to be crispy all the time, since day 1 we serve them in those plates, and if you read with attention the menu you know the burrito doesn’t come with rice, it comes with beans, cheese and the protein and still you ordered😄of course we rise the prices, we’re paying a rent in Roma, you expected to have the same prices as we did at the sand? Anyway, everything is subjective, good luck :)

When I was in CDMX for a month, Mandragora was my go-to dinner. It has a chill atmosphere and tasty vegan food. The ingredients are high-quality, and each meal is made with great care. It's a more intimate restaurant with maybe 10 seats and a handful of small tables.

I recommend Tacos de Alambre and special mention to Taco de Milanesa super huge, although their chilaquiles are famous I haven't tried it yet but I'm looking to go again as they have an interesting menu. It was a quick visit as we were by the area and this was the nearest vegan restaurant. Small and cozy place. Pretty good flavor. Nicely attended. Excellent price. Good portions.

Try the chilaquiles! it’s such a nice treat to have a vegan version of these and they’re delicious (I was so busy eating I almost didn’t get a photo).

Chilquiles rojas with bistec was great. The tacos were also really good. We liked the chorizo with mushrooms and the chorizo with seitan. The milanese taco was maybe a bit dry, i think the milanese protein would be great in a burrito.

Also, the guy running the stall (maybe the owner) was super friendly, spoke great english and has awesome taste in music. Thumbs up!

Mandrágora Vegan has a good thing going, with very tasty food made to order at low prices. The chilaquiles are some of the best we’ve had anywhere. Service is warm and helpful. There are four seats at the counter.
