After learning this kitchen is open at night as a bar which sells anti-vegan dead baby animal bodies, I've sadly had to reduce my rating. I certainly hope the proprietor of this place can force a little kindness down the throats of whatever [censored] is cooking up mutilated corpses of actual living animal life forms in a place and kitchen meant to be safe and hygienic for vegans. Incredibly sad, won't be able to return until this tragedy is fixed (and properly sanitized) no matter how friendly the owner is. Gross violation of trust.

Mandarin as in King. Here lives the King of Kindness. This is the right place for real vegans. Owned and operated by hardworking vegan magicians, nothing forgotten in this glorious buffet. Immediately complimented on my Animal Liberation t-shirt and greeted me in english which was a warm surprise. I don't think I was ever properly welcomed to Brazil until this vegan did so. Closed for carnival, I almost left the island without trying it, but extended just to do so and well worth it.

This is how you go about feeding people vegan food. Slam packed with affordable and delicious assortment of roots, leaves, seeds, fruit and nuts. Plus give me a break, five kinda of hot sauce. Best spot in Brazil.
