The pizza was just okay - Edit
Ordered a half cheese plate, four half slices of pizza, the homemade pasta, and two glasses of Prosecco - $120 Canadian! That’s without an added tip. The pizza was just okay, all of the slices really lacked in flavour. The crust was the most delicious part of the pizza, honestly best crust I’ve ever had. My boyfriend ordered the homemade pasta which was incredibly undercooked, but the sauce was pretty good. But for a small portion, it was $26. The half cheese plate was decent, the turmeric cashew cheese is amazing, but the rest of the cheeses were just okay. It felt very overpriced, we definitely ordered a lot but were expecting the price to be closer to $80 or for the food to be way better. Wouldn’t recommend if on a budget, expected the pizza to be much better for the price and because of all the great HappyCow reviews.

Its a pity you couldn't enjoy our food! We are very sad about it. Basically, we cook homemade, organic Italian food (of course vegan). We are one of the few restaurants in CPH with a high value for money. Also, the prosecco you had was organic and vegan. Our pizza, is based on a very local tradition, Roman pizza, and we are proud of it as its one of the best interpretation you can find in north Europe. The fresh homemade tagliatelle is cooked al dente as we are used in Italy, and the organic cashew cheeses are the best you can find at the moment in Danmark :)

Very yummy pizza!! - Edit
Went here with my bf on a date!
Read moreThe staff was very friendly and helped us chose between all the different types of pizza! We ended up sharing 4 slices: Homemade seitan and cheese, tomato and peppers, pineapple and one with eggplant!
They were all super delicious, but my favorite was the Hawaiian with pineapple and vegan cheese that tasted like blue cheese! Also the crust was very tasty: thick, airy and crispy!
The place was really nice and cozy - definitely coming back and trying their plates with (vegan) cheese!!
Pros: 100% vegan!!, Very yummy vegan cheese!, Friendly staff

Updated review 2018
Read moreAfter getting their own place and going all vegan, this has got to be my favorite place to eat in all of Copenhagen. It's simply delicious, unique pizza flavours and friendly service. Also serve slow juice. Be sure not to miss their tiramisu! Yum.
-----------
There were three different vegan slices on the day I went, but they changed some menu items from time to time.
My favorite slice was with potatoes and truffles, which comes as a surprise, because I'm normally not a fan of truffles, but the flavor was very subtle. Great!
This is my go-to spot at Papirøen.
Pros: All vegan, Delicious, Affordable

Eat Here!!! - Edit
I was visiting the city with my mom and friend and found this restaurant down the street from our apartment. It was amazing. The pizza is delicious as well as the pasta and desserts. The owner and staff are extremely friendly, and it really was a pleasure talking with them. If you are in Copenhagen I highly recommend eating here (you may want to make a reservation). Five stars.

If you want, you can buy their artisan cashew cheeses or seitan to take home and use in your own kitchen.
All in all a very friendly restaurant with a heart in the right place.
Pros: Huge array of pizza slices, Fun events like yoga in restaurant, Cashew cheese

100 % delicious - 100 % vegan - Edit
Madenitaly offers a new and original concept in Copenhagen, which have a lot of generic vegan café's: Madenitaly offers a 100 % vegan, Italian kitchen, which is both cheap and incrediably delicious.
Read moreThe main experience is the large selection of vegan pizza slices, but they also offers other Italian dishes in vegan version, like risotto, lasagne etc.
The desserts are also very delicious, and especially the tiramisu is recommandable. However, this could use a bit more booze :)
Final verdict: 5 out of 5 - bring a meatloving friend :)
Pros: delicious, original pizza, new/original concept in Copenhagen
Cons: more booze in tiramisu ;)

TOP VEGAN CUISINE IN COPENHAGEN - Edit
This restaurant is my favourite in Copenhagen - even though I am raw vegan! When I eat something cooked, it has to be incredible, and the food served at Madenitaly certainly is!
Read moreIt's an exciting experince tasting vegan cheeeese - so yummi, crazy and fun! When requested they serve GLUTEN FREE pastas made out of rice and GMO-free corn, and it tastes great! Their cheeses are great and organic - I especially like their chickpea-based parmesan, yum!
The beautilful owner, Eva, and the staff makes this place lovely with a cozy atmosphere and great service!
My favourite dish is their GF mushroom/truffel pasta dish. Oh my.... I would also recommend you to try their Variazone (bravo), and I am VERY exciting to try some of their new items - the risotto in particular.
I hope for gluten free pizzas in the future. :-)
Ciao!
P.s. If you suffer from nut-allergy, you can call in before hand and make speciel orders.

Fantastic vegan food! - Edit
Had a delicious lunch here recently while on holiday in Copenhagen with my two young children. Most of the menu is vegan and it was particularly exciting to have choice of vegan versions of dishes that are normally made with dairy (e.g. linguine in a creamy truffle sauce, lasagne, eggplant parmigiana, stuffed courgettes). Owner was very kind, helpful and welcoming.

Really Amazing. - Edit
Could eat breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner here. I visited two days in a row, my first visit I ordered Pasta Della Casa which was with mushroom & vegan parmesan. The pasta was al dente, the dish was mouth watering. My second visit I had a slice of Vegan Calabrese Pizza which had vegan cheese, tomato slices & basil. I ate it so quick I forgot to take a photo. They have many vegan options, I'd say about 90% is vegan. The service is lovely, they have a toilet and wifi and free tap water which is hard to come by in Copenhagen. I will hopefully be back here one day.

Delicious vegan pizza ,and vegan cheese! Some vegetarian (dairy cheese) options - Edit
This lovely restaurant has amazing, creative combinations of flavours, as well as a pizza classics. I had a vegan onion, olive and house-made seitan half-slice (slices are large squares) and a half of potato and (vegan) pesto, both of which were excellent.
Read moreI also had a vegan cheese plate, which included the best vegan cheeses I have ever had... and I’ve had a lot of them!! The proprietor, Eva, says that she imports them from a cheesmaker in Italy who trained making dairy cheese and applies the same techniques to her vegan cheeses, aging them for three months. They’ve got that amazing dry aged taste and feel. I am hoping to find their product back in Canada, or convince someone to import them !!
My friend had vegetarian (real mozzarella) cheese and tomato, which she said was very good.
I hoped to have the tiramisu, one of two desserts on offer (the other was apple cake, both looked delicious and were vegan), but was, sadly, too full from all the other great food I hoovered down.
Highly recommended, would definitely come back.
Pros: Really excellent food, Good portion sizes at very reasonable price, Lovely people, great service
