Forever fan - Edit
I have been a fan of Madenitaly ever since they had a pizza stall at a food court, and they just keep getting better!! I love their pizza and pasta, and the brunch instantly became the best brunch in Copenhagen! Wish I could eat there every day!

With my wife I had dinner. Got served straight away. Food was fantastic. Delicious pizza slices, and tasteful maindish. I will absolutely visit again - hopefully soon.

If you want vegan Italian food, there's no better place. Think I might come back again and again until I've tried everything on the menu - and then I'll start over again.

So delicious - Edit
Such a cute place with a great ambience and lots of seating! Carbonara pasta was good but the one with mushrooms, truffle, and fig was life-changing. Highly recommend tiramisu as well. Would be an amazing date spot!

I don’t know what to say! Thank you for coming back to Denmark and enriching my life. I have eaten at MadenItaly at least once a month since they opened this year (2025). The food is more than amazing:

I’m always blown away by the rich and comforting lasagna; the delicious eggplant gratin pizza; the heavenly, devine, and creamy tiramisu; and the more than mind blowing zuccini rolls with almond ricotta inside 😍
If ever this place starts struggling financially, I will give them my entire savings account… Hell, I’ll even sell my right kidney to keep this place open. It’s my single favourite restaurant in Copenhagen, and I swear, you won’t regret going here — your tastebuds might or*asm tho’ 🤭🤭🤭

Very good and tasty - Edit
On Sundays there is only a brunch menu. However, this is quite sufficient and at the same time very, very tasty. The price for the brunch set menu is still very high I think.
Read moreIf I hadn't read it on the menu and also had the service confirm again that everything is vegan, I wouldn't have believed it. Especially the vegan whipped cream and the meatballs tasted very "real".

Considering that I am Italian, that the place is fully vegan and that they offer traditional Italian dishes, the overall experience was not bad at all. In my opinion it’s still not “perfect” but it will never be because Italian dishes are difficult to replicate in a vegan option.
Read moreAnyway, the food was very nice, supplí were my absolute favorite! The besciamella of the vegan lasagna on the other hand, was not the best and I think they used vegan ‘nduja as filling but I don’t think is the best option to use.
I recommend it if you want to try some Italian vegan dishes that are close to the original version

Worth going to - Edit
We got the tasting menu for 2. The antipastos were all very delicious! We got the lasagna as a main, which was VERY good and solid. We also got the 3 pizza slices which unfortunately weren't amazing, they weren't bad but not special. The lemon mousse was delicious though, as well as their cocktails! It's in a warehouse which makes for an interesting vibe.

Maybe the best restaurant I visited in 2025 - Edit
It was a bit strange to enter this restaurant because beside a normal door there were also 3 cargo ports which were open due to the warm weather. The restaurant is located in an old warehouse, so the cargo ports are a remaining of the previous function.
Read moreAs starter (antipasti) I choose the "King oyster mushroom and Italian melon skewer with salad". Veggies were good marinated and perfectly grilled. On top it was served with a very delicious sauce. The little salad was refreshing thanks to some pomegranate seeds. In short an excellent starter for the main dish!
3 different slices of pizzas were chosen. The crust was sooo crispy and all the slices had very good, and sometimes subtle, tastes. I must recommend the aubergine pizza, this was amazing!

Still worth a visit - Edit
Updated Sept 25 after their move this past Spring to Kødbyen: still great, friendly service, wonderful, relaxed Italian food - and vegan! Happy to see that the quality and taste of the food were still great. They’ve added a small “tasting menu” for 350kr that was really nice. You really don't need to be vegan to appreciate the food here.
Read moreNew location is larger, with a great industrial vibe, large “garage doors” create a semi-open floor plan (some tables outside the doors, other right inside). Which is cool - but if you don’t want to smell cigarette smoke from the people sitting outside, take a table in the back. Tables right inside the garage doors are still near the outdoor tables where people might be smoking.

Had the taster menu. Everything was a hit apart from the bolognese pizza. There is a reason why this topping is not a thing in Italy. It doesn’t work on pizza…😠🤣

Pizza crust was ok . Pesto was not good. Just odd mixes of flavors and it wasn’t really good. Service was fine and it was bustling but corn as an appetizer and potatoes and sour cream on pizza wasn’t for me.

Left with a full belly - Edit
We went for a special occasion and ordered the tasting menu. When the starters arrived, I feared the portion sizes would leave us hungry. However, we both ordered the pizza for our mains. They give you three slices each and the portions are huge! We left very full and enjoyed the experience. (You don't get to choose any of the dishes in the tasting menu it is decided by the kitchen)

Tasty pizza! - Edit
They offer very tasty pizza that is really on point from dough to toppings - the only negative being that the portions weren’t too big! Going there again, I’d probably go for the lasagna - that looked amazing and like a decent portion. The prices are in line with other Copenhagen restaurants. The atmosphere was very casual.

Small dishes with great flavours. The pizza had a good amount of sauce and a crispy base. The wrapped aubergines were very tasty. Staff were attentive and the indoor-outdoor space great for summer evenings.

Definitely the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had, new favorite place!! Also a cool location and friendly staff. Only downside is that the portions were rather small, so you might have to order more than one if you are hungry.

Wonderful food and prices in line with other Copenhagen eateries. Cool jazz playing in the background, lots of interesting foot traffic walking by to watch. Creative alcoholic beverages..but no dark beers.

Superb Food and service - Edit
Centrally located in the new trendy area of Copenhagen, this former bar has now has spectacular vegan Italian food. I ate in their previous smaller location in 2019, and was delighted that they upgraded to a much larger location. They often fill up this large vegan restaurant.
Read moreOrdered a fantastic pizza slice, topped with potato, onions and their own fresh mozarella vegan cheese, a divine pasta dish with eggplant , stewed tomatoes, onions and basil (my photos could not do this food justice), and ended the meal with a creamy vegan tiramisu. One of the best I have had. They have outstanding drinks as well (I do not drink alcohol, and we split two non-alcoholic drinks which were refreshing and highly recommended. I particularly enjoyed a peach drink they offer.
Indoor or outdoor seating is a plus. A great place to eat in the warmer months.
A wonderful experience!
