Not recommended - Edit
They only had two vegan options, I tried them both. The salad is big but quite plain. The main - barbecued veggies with romesco - half the veggies were inedible. There was a huge piece of uncooked cauliflower, completely useless. Prices are high especially given the disappointing food. The interior is average, and it's also quite loud inside. I won't be going back.

Quite expensive - Edit
As of July 2023, the restaurant offers vegan salad, starters and main course. We ordered fatush salad, fries and asian vegan noodle bowl with zucchini and spinach. I expected the last to be a warm dish, but it was cold (salad-like) which I wouldn’t normally eat as a main course. It wasn’t bad, but for 23 lv I would’ve expected more. The atmosphere and the staff were great. For 2 people, without drinking alcohol, we spent 75 lv with the tips.

Room for improvement - Edit
They only have 3 vegan options on the menu, very basic I have to say hummus and felafel, nothing particular. However, if you are with some omnies you won't starve.
Pros: Cozy atmosphere
Cons: Only 3 choices

Not my first pick - Edit
Granted, the atmosphere is great, it's cozy and staff are very nice. They have good wine and the food that we had was also pretty delicious!
Read moreHowever, there are only very few dishes on the menu that are vegan, and I'm not a fan of ordering a vegetarian dish and having to ask for it without cheese.
Prices are also quite steep for what you get, at least for Sofia standards.
Update: The vegan options seem scarcer, definitely not worth coming here anymore imo.

Only one main dish was veggie, rest with meat or fish. Also it’s on the pricey side.

This is a nice place if you're looking for a hype restaurant decorated with motley furnitures. I think prices are a little bit higher compared to other restaurants in the area.

Nice food, limited options - Edit
~3 vegetarian mains around 14.90, and then salads and a couple appetisers. The mezze plate was perfect — tasty, big enough, and nicely presented, if perhaps a bit expensive for dips and bread (17.90), and although I did not try the desserts looked wonderful. The hummus in the mezze plate was great but not available on its own — only with meat. One of the appetisers looked interesting but when I googled the ingredient that I had never heard before (tarama) it turned out to be fish eggs. Yuck :-(

Quite the surprise - Edit
We went to this place a little before 22h and we were happy they were still serving because some places were already closed. They only have two vegetarian main dishes and some starters but they can make them vegan. And oh boy they did it! Had the best quinoa dish ever here, the food was a very good surprise! Each dish was roughly 12Bgn (~6€).

This charming and efficient cafe rescued us before rushing to the station. Fantastic salads and innovative use of nuts and seeds made both the quinoa salad and the cashew noodle bowls a winner. Would recommend and return again.

Only 3 main course are vegetarian, I had wild mushroom risotto, that was delicious but very small portion even for a skinny girl, and I will say it’s over local price.

I ate here Jan 2018 with a few meat eaters so they were happy as well as I (Vegan). They have vegetarian on the menu but it's not clearly marked which is Vegan but it does list ingredients so was simple to tell. Nice atmosphere and staff, food good as well.

Veg-friednly and Delish - Edit
The place is indeed veg-friendly as it has an entire page (5-6 dishes) of vegetarian and vegan dishes - you need to ask what is specifically vegan, though. The stuff was friendly and I had the quinoa and veg dish was was warm and nice. No vegan deserts, though.

a really cozy well know spot in the city centre, listing a special vegan menu on the card - personal is also helping to make other things vegan if possible. really nice interior, has a few little outside tables and dishes were also very tasty. they offer traditional Bulgarian dishes too.

A good place for mixed veg/carnivore group - Edit
So Made in Home is perfectly nice. And if it were the only veg/veg friendly place in Sofia, I'd probably give it five stars, but as there are a whole bunch of options, it's a four star option. The food is quite good, the menus cute, the ambiance pleasant, the staff nice. The veg dishes are mostly quinoa focused (quinoa seems to be a surprisingly big thing in Bulgaria?), though there are a couple other things. The lemonade was quite good. It's a bit more expensive than many other places in Sofia, but it's mixed veg and non-veg options make it a good choice for going to when your group is mixed. If you're pure veg, make the trek to Soul Kitchen.

Cosy place,nice service - Edit
I atе once, in the beginning, when they opened the place.
Read moreAt first it was impressive, kind of artistic place, with intriguing, rustic and cosy design, but after sitting for 2 hours on the chair and table, I felt very uncomfortable.
It is located very close to NDK and Vitosha blvd.,and it's easy reachable.
The service was good.
The food, I ate was very good.
Big portions.High prices.
The place is VEG friendly.
They serve vegetarian, some vegan food but still they serve meat.
This is good to know, because of the smell, which when I was there, was very tangible.
This is the main reason I never went there again.

Super Cool AND Delicious! - Edit
This is a great find in the city center of Sofia. The details of this restaurant are fantastic. Menus that resemble children's books, an eclectic group of tables and chairs, and art...everywhere! They serve huge portions of freshly prepared, delicious food, and the service is very friendly. The salads are fresh and the produce is ripe and crisp, not overdone with heavy dressings, but tasty and light. A great place to go to for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just coffee and dessert. We've already visited a couple times, and will keep going back. One of our favorites!
