Hit & miss

This was the first higher end restaurant we went to in Hobart where we felt like their vegan menu was an after-thought. Almost everything was vegetarian with a vegan option which seemed to mean just leaving something off the original which felt lazy. Most of the menu seemed to be just sides from their standard menu. That said, the the artichoke dish and celeriac steak were delicious and creative. Unfortunately the lentil bolognese reminded me of what I'd make for my kids when I was feeling lazy, it tasted the same and I'm no cook; It was an unimaginative and average dish which let down the experience.

Location was lovely and staff very friendly.

Cons: Vegatarian minus something is unimaginative, Mostly sides from standard menu, Pasta dish was very average

Amazing Service, Food, and Atmosphere

We enjoyed the Potatoes, Spring greens, and Pasta alla Vodka for dinner. The service and food couldn’t be faulted.

Pros: Atmosphere, Location, Complimentary bread

Upmarket restaurant with vegan menu and harbour views

Upmarket restaurant inside the MACq 01 hotel right at the harbour front with a separate vegan menu. Great food and wine for a fancy dinner. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Vegetarian and Vegan menu

We were recently visiting Hobart and met a non-veg friend for lunch and happened upon the Old Wharf. We were thrilled to find they have a dedicated vegetarian and vegan menu. The food was absolutely delicious, the setting gorgeous and the service was friendly and attentive. The staff had a good understanding of veganism as evidenced by the serving of bread and dukkah for my husband and I with our friend being served another dish at the commencement of our meal. I would happily recommend this restaurant as it provided the best meal we had over the course of our holiday.

Pros: Excellent food, Dedicated vegan and vegetarian menu, Excellent service and setting.

Good food at terrific location

Our vegan family of three had a great vegan dinner at this stunningly located wharf restaurant. The vegan menu wasn't large, but good. We had a lovely pasta dish outside on the deck.

Pros: Location, location, location, knowledgeable staff

Cons: A bit of a wait, but it was very busy.
