Best cake in town! - Edit
The passionfruit ade was sooo good and the black sesame cake so delicious! Almond latte was good too.
Read moreThe cake itself didn't have a strong flavour, but the cream was sweet und the consistency was amazing. Most of the time creams taste more greasy and plain for me, with a film on my tongue afterwards. But this cream was just perfect.

Not a vegan place but really good! - Edit
My friend and I initially thought this was a fully vegan place, but they do serve cow’s milk with drinks. The cakes, however, are all vegan and really tasty! Worth visiting for the cakes, just double-check the drinks before ordering

Vegan GF Some Sugar Free Goodness - Edit
When I stepped into the shop for a split of a second I thought myself just walking into the sixties oh my goodness! They have 2 large screens side by side playing 1952 Audrey Hepburn black & white film, Roman Holiday and very Renaissance art & mirrors decor coving entires walls. Plus their menu is somehow narrowing down to 2 focuses: tea/coffee & cakes. I had a vegan GF raspberry matcha cake and an almond latte with no sugar. So apparently they can make matcha cakes but don’t have matcha to make an almond matcha latte for me, how weird is that!? The GF Matcha cake was done right so as the iced almond latte with no sugar. Just wish they have actual matcha powder to make almond/soy matcha latte for matcha fans like me! 🍵

Such a cute quirky cafe with a wide variety of different flavoured cakes. The inside of the cafe is decorated with lots of interesting vintage items.

Misleading ! - Edit
Be aware, it is not a fully vegan establishment ! They propose cow's milk for their drinks. When I went to La Pause I didn't know that, fortunately I ordered an Ade. I say it is misleading because in front of the shop, it says the word "Vegan" (see my picture). Why making vegan cakes and then proposing cow's milk for drinks ? This business is not involved in veganism, just thinking about profits. How can I make sure that the cakes are really vegan ?

Cute decor! - Edit
I tried the matcha latte and it was very good (the worker accidentally gave me a hot one, but I turned out liking a lot so I’m happy with it). I also tried the matcha cake, which was good but very matcha-y. The inside was decorated with vintageesque things.

Delicious but cake slices are extremely small - Edit
La Pause is quite eclectic with it's memorabilia inside and the artificial turf outside, but it's clearly a favourite with locals because it always looks super busy. It's kind of like an English tea shop vibe.
Read moreI ordered a slice of the Earl grey cake and a hot matcha latte. The matcha latte was good but very sweet, and the cake was delicious but I was SO shocked when I saw the size. For ₩8,000 it is REALLY small, especially compared to other vegan cafes.
Everything was good, but honestly I don't think I'll be back. The harsh lighting and clutter inside is not quite my vibe, and I can't get over the price for the size of the slices.
Pros: Good selection of cakes, Gluten-free options, Delicious
Cons: Cake slices are too small, Expensive, Cluttered interior/harsh lighting

Heaven - Edit
Vegan Cake Heaven! I visited La Pause and not only the interior is decorated with so much love also the cakes look delicious
Read moreThey serve various options like
Chocolate, grandma, matcha, pumpkin, carrot and fig for example
I couldn’t decide so I took two 🤭
I had the fig cake 🍰
And the matcha 🍵 cake
As you know I am a matcha lover 💞🌱
The fig cake comes with a coconut cream on top and is so light and fluffy 🫶 lot of figs insight 🌱🙏
The matcha is the perfect mix of a great matcha flavor and the cream on top balances everything out also not too crumbly just amazing 😻
Fully vegan, gluten free options and amazing coffee ☕️ hot/ iced almond/soy
I sat outside enjoyed the great weather on the little patio and studied some Korean 💫🤓
They have Alpro!!!
Plus they have free infused lemon water 🍋

You could say the cakes are overpriced, but I have not found any reasonably-priced vegan bakeries nearby. So, I’d say this isn’t unusual. I’d love to try their matcha cake soon!

Alright - Edit
Cows milk is the default option in drinks
Read moreAll cakes are gluten free
La pause has some nice cake options, the pumpkin and ea grey come to mind. Im not the biggest fan of their cakes as they totally fall apart when you eat them and texture is a let down (gluten free) however the taste is good and drinks were nice. Interior is very cute and vintage feel. Same with the cups and plates they use.
There is a bakery 2 shops down with an awning that says "vegan" but that is a different store and it has literally 0 vegan options, so make sure you find the right place
