sunday lunch is brilliant. Friendly little place on Wellfield Rd (suggest you park in the library). Good service, great food. Also does take away so can box up most things.

stopped by for a quick bite and ended up having the meal deal which was only 6 pounds for an oat flat white, a lovely fresh sandwich and cake of the day! all of which were great

Friendly Restaurant with Varied Menu - Edit
Have been here loads of times but realised I'd never reviewed it - this is one of Cardiff's only independent, vegan-owned businesses and it continues to offer a range of starters, mains and desserts to suit all tastes. Its simple, charming decor and friendly, helpful staff make every visit a pleasure.

Great afternoon tea experience - Edit
We enjoyed our afternoon tea here. The sandwiches were more interesting than those served at a regular non-vegan tea (so glad we didn't get just cucumber), and there was a nice selection of pastries, chocolate things, scones, and cakes. We had the afternoon tea for lunch because the cafe closes at 3pm. Book 1-2 days in advance.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s the best fully vegan café I’ve been too. The sandwiches and arancini balls are so good here and I wish I could have them more. Every time I come home to Cardiff I try and come here.

I was spoiled for choice as there were plenty to choose from. Drinks included freshly squeezed juices, shakes and smoothies as well as alcoholic.

An absolutely amazing vegan afternoon tea. I have never had an afternoon tea before, being vegan since my teens, so this was a true delight. Thoroughly enjoyed by both me and my non-vegan friend. I particularly loved the scones, and the range of cakes was superb!

I was thrilled to have a place that was all vegan and had tons of gluten-free options since I'm a vegan with Celiac. The staff is really nice. We went for my birthday and had a nice meal. Our waitress, the co-owner, sang Happy Birthday to me, and they also provided a complimentary small chocolate cake with a candle on top (it was more than enough for the two of us). Then we went back the next week and had the Tea for Two. Well... the amount of food in the Tea for Two was definitely enough for 4 people. It was really delicious and I highly recommend it, just take 3 other people with you!!! I was visiting from the US (I brought my daughter back to Uni in Cardiff to help her get set up for the year after she was home for the summer) and was really glad to find this place. I look forward to going back when I return.

Read moreMet Co Owner and sister Nicoleta who I had a lovely chat with. I had the meal deal for £6 Hot Chocolate, BLT Sandwich and Pineapple nut cake as a take away. The hot chocolate was yummy, the Sandwich was top notch very flavourful just the right fillings but found the cake to be a bit dense and prefer it pluffy.

Had a delicious and very filling burger and chips which I highly recommend. The falafel patty, onion rings and chunky chips was nice and crispy. There was a cheesy flavour to the burger which I enjoyed. But found the price to be quite high.
There is ample space for large groups to sit. Could fit approximately 52 people.

Great to see another vegan place!
I had the breakfast which was nice but felt that a slightly bigger portion was needed for the price. Would prefer wholewheat over white bread, Kalanamak in the tofu for that eggy taste and the beans to be cooked more.
Loved their homemade mayonnaise.
It was great to meet Laura one of the owners.
Will definitely come to try the rest of the menu.

The food is really good! I had the soup of the day (butternut squash and tomato) and my friend had the Sunday Roast... both were delicious. The menu is diverse and suitable for all tastes. The place is cozy and the decoration is very nice. The staff is very friendly, and my experience was extremely positive. I highly recommend it!

Afternoon Tea - Edit
We went for an afternoon tea and not only were we catered for with an array of wonderful sandwiches, homemade chia jam and cakes, our dog was also given a bowl of vegan kibble. We enjoyed the bright atmosphere and kind staff. There also seem to be regulars so that was a promising sign! There was so much food we took some home and they kindly provided a box.

Lovely vegan restaurant in Cardiff - Edit
In the heart of the vibrancy just by Roath Park, Lunas is a wonderful fully vegan restaurant serving deliciously and well cooked food. Often with lots of variety, which makes a break from junk food overload! Though there are some options for that if you need. It is great value for money and the staff are lovely as well. I try and go as often as possible!

Have been here twice in recent weeks and the quality of the food has been excellent on both occasions. I love the mushroom bruschetta and apple tart. Our last booking was for six people including two children. All left happy and full. Every main was excellent in particular the special burger was fantastic. Nice ambience in the restaurant. Nice looking Christmas menu which I have booked in to try when it’s being served.

This is a such a lovely all vegan restaurant in Cardiff. We had the risotto and it tasted sooooo good! Compared to other vegan restaurants in the area, they actually sell vegan food that isn't trying to replicate non vegan dishes, eg. A vegan meat burger. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff were also really nice.

I had the Thai banana blossom curry which was very nice, just enough kick to it too! The risotto looked really good as did the burgers, and apparently they were very nice. Big chunky chips were delicious and enough for 2 of us to share. I had to have the ‘pannacotta’ which I thought was very nice.

I went with my husband and we both had the tofu and asparagus starter with spinach puree which was delicious. Then we had the burger with lovely crispy chips and a really good portion. Excellent side of rocket and “parmesan “ salad. Bill had the apple tart and i had the brownie Both were delicious. Finished with lovely coffee. Great surroundings and very nice owner. Will definitely be back.
