Loved it - Edit
We came here for brunch and got the soy miso wings with peanut sauce (one of the current specials), shawarma bowl and prosciutto scramble toast. Everything was very good! Some of the best vegan shawarma I’ve had, and the wings were probably my favorite dish I had in Boston. My partner also got a chocolate croissant, which is said was decent, but needed more chocolate, and some macarons to go. Overall we were very pleased and would definitely come back here.

Excellent! - Edit
I can’t believe how long it’s taken me to try this place— I have been missing out. We enjoyed everything about our brunch, including the Prosciutto scramble and the Huevos Rojos, a special latte, and much more. All excellent! The owner, Mary, greeted us and all were super friendly. We will be back really soon!

Good options but bland and overpriced - Edit
Nice to have so many vegan brunch options, but a bit overpriced. Food is also on the blander side, and they charged extra for hot sauce. Veggie Galaxy has much better brunch!

So many great options! - Edit
Went here with a large group (mostly omnivores) for dinner and almost everyone ordered something different. Menu highlights included the pita (cashew cheese and muhammara for dipping are both excellent) Mushroom Shortrib, Shawarma, and the Pastor Tacos. Overall we had a great experience and while it was a bit pricey we will definitely be back to try other options on the lunch and brunch menus!

Tasty but expensive - Edit
This cute little eatery has an extensive menu. We ordered the Korean BBQ rib sandwich (4/5⭐️ - spicy but delicious), the honey glazed “chicken” on a pretzel bun (4.5/5⭐️ - a contrasting blend of flavors), and the strawberry lemon cake (3.5/5⭐️ - too sweet and not very lemony). Both sandwiches would have earned 5⭐️ if they were less expensive and/or came with a side.

Cons: Quite expensive, No sides included with mains

The best of Boston for vegan fine dining! - Edit
Updated 7/14: Lulu Green is truly the best is Boston, backed by Boston Magazine.
Read moreMezze with Hummus, beets and muhammara. Everything including the pita was perfection. Never had muhammara before, we are in love and highly recommend!
Beet tartare was so fresh, flavorful, well balanced. The tomato based yoke was insane! Topped with crispy quinoa... Beautiful toast to pair. Highly recommend!
Lulu Burger is beautifully compiled. The veggie patty is delicious! Potato is next level. Even the ketchup is fresh and beautifully spiced.
Chunk Foods Steak was insane! Very similar texture to real meat and flavor. Its my first time trying Chunk Foods. Its less greasy than competitor Juicy Marbles and feels lighter and healthier, which I prefer for a steak like this. The chimichurri and hot peppers were delicious with a kick of heat. Cauliflower puree balanced the heat beautifully. There was also a side of kimchi green onions that were insanely delicious!
For drinks we love the vegan, local artisan liquors. Ordered high school drop out, strawberry mojito, and Nightshift
Original Review: Cute cafe by day, fine dining at night. Went for the first time for Valentine's Day prix fixe menu. The food was incredible, really thoughtfully planned, balanced, well executed. Hats off to the chef and team!
Smoked Carrot Tartare beautifully smoked (so easy to over do it on the smoke), hint of spice and bright.
Broccoli Menage A Trios, creamy, crunchy, nutty, and delicious! And the chef was super kind to accommodate my cashew allergy with tahini versus the broccoli sauce. Thank you, thank you!!
Braised Mushroom Short Ribs. Wow, the star of the show! Tried many prix fixe meals where the starters are out of this world, then the main course falls short. What the chef did to get he pull apart texture of the short ribs from the chanterelles... mind blowing. Overall, creamy, bright, and sweet from the red onion jam, and crunchy (not sure what was on top, but they tasted like sweet potato hand peeled chips). I will dream about this dish.
To finish, beautiful, rich creamy chocolate mousse with orange almond. Topped with edible flowers that compliment the mousse with crisp, juicy apples and a citrusy, orange peel flavors. Topped with sea salt and cacao nibs to balance. Paired with madagascar fig (my husband's favorite), dreamy french macroons, and chocolate covered strawberries.
Incredible experience, will definitely make the one hour trip into South Boston to visit Lulu Green again!

Convenient, cute place - Edit
After we arrived at the airport we ordered takeout online to eat at our hotel. Parking was impossible so my husband double parked while I ran in to get the food. I ordered the Lulu burger and my husband ordered the Charcuterie platter. I enjoyed my burger. My husband liked the platter but wouldn’t order it again. It looked like they had nice outdoor seating.

A favorite when I’m in Boston - Edit
Love it here! I visited in September for the first time with my non-vegan mom and we were both blown away. Went again last week with both my parents this time, and my non-vegan dad was raving about the lentil soup and tacos. My vegan bf also joined us and he’s allergic to nuts so it was nice there were nut-free options for him to eat as well.

Classy - Edit
Excellent service with owner present in the dining area checking on diners. The prices are high but food is presented well. I ordered the shwarma - a deconstructed meal with several parts, pretty healthy. The shwarma was dry and a bit hard to chew but the sauce on top was very tasty. The chocolate cheesecake is totally delicious and beautifully presented. Several sweets available.

Best in Boston - Edit
Locals know that losing both True Bistro and Littleburg in 2023 was devastating to the veg community. Lulu Green has really stepped in to be the best spot for a really nice dinner, a perfect lunch, or a brunch worth waiting all week for. Everything on the menu is creatively and thoughtfully seasoned and prepared. I try to get something different whenever I go, and I’ve never been disappointed.
Read moreThis place has great variety on the menu and we frequently choose it for date nights as well as work and road trip to-go meals. It was my husband’s pick for his birthday dinner this year, and we were delighted with everything we got.
I hope this place is around for many more years. Please go and give them your support, and bring your friends and family.
Pros: Amazing flavors, great quality of ingredients, Modern and bright inside, Variety on menu
Cons: It’s not in my hometown ;)

Good Vegan Food - Edit
1st time here. I was able to find street parking without much of an issue. Indoor dining available. Clean and inviting. A bright spot in the neighborhood. Regular menu and specials menu available. I started with the maple hot glazed boneless wings. Good flavor. Small portion size for the price ($16). This time could have been $12. With a serving size of 6, I also wouldn’t call this shareable. The hot Honey Ranch Crispy Chick’n Sandwich was next. This was a sandwich I really enjoyed. Not only did it taste good, it really was crispy. I didn’t realize it until now but the description says it comes with fries, but if you look at my picture, mine did not. Again, overpriced at $19. Even if it had come with fries, $16 could have been a more reasonable price. The Caesar salad and Shawarma dish were both also satisfying. I would love to come here again. There is not one thing I ordered that I did not enjoy. My only concern is the price. Service was also extra friendly and knowledgeable.

You won’t be sorry - Edit
I had brunch at Lulu Green and the food was delicious. Portions were ample and very flavorful. I had the Vanilla Latte and the Sundried Tomato and Arugula Omelette and my (non-vegan) friend had the Huevos Rojos. Mine was quite filling and my friend said her dish was semi-spicy (for her taste buds), but also so yummy. I will definitely be returning!

Visited on a busy Saturday. The space is small but welcoming. Children are not allowed at the seats by the long bar so we had to wait until two of the five tables opened up to be seated. I had the breakfast sandwich 2. Perfect size, great combo of flavors and loved the pretzel bun!
