Definitely worth the trip! - Edit
Passing through the area on our way south, we read the reviews and had to stop. Between the four of us we tried the kids vegan grilled cheese, buffalo sietan nuggets with ranch, and the vegan rueban. All came with fries and all were delicious. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Excellent vegan bar food!

Favorite in Dayton - Edit
A bar atmosphere with excellent food. They do a great job making a meal vegan and I have never been disappointed with a meal. They also have late hours on the weekend and a nice beer selection.

Very knowledgeable waiter. Found me vegan and gluten free meal options. Delicious meal. I had vegan gluten free bean burger on a gluten free bun I could hardly believe was gluten free!! Weak wine list. But it is a taproom after all... 😊

So many options! - Edit
I got the Marinated Jackfruit on Rye with sweet potato fries and my husband got the Nachos. We were able to veganize everything (even sour cream for the nachos)! It was absolutely delicious. Great beer selections and super friendly waiter! Definitely recommend.

A Wonderful Surprise! - Edit
We ended up here by accident, after stopping by Butter Cafe, and being told the kitchen was closed (at 2:45. . . they close at 3). I searched happycow to see what else was nearby. Found this little gem . . . not on my original list of pre-screened places we had decided we were going to check out in Dayton, but we were willing to give it a shot. It turned out wonderfully! The server was super knowledgeable about veganism. I asked about the fried items, and she shared they used a separate fryer and oil. She also shared with me that almost everything could be made vegan, even if it didn't indicate that there was a vegan option of that particular item. We tried the gyro, ruben, chicken tenders, and the fried chicken sandwich. Got a couple orders of fries, and the string beans as sides. None of it disappointed, but the chicken sandwich was great! Just the right amount of crunch. The fries and string beans were savory. Super affordable as well! We will be back!

Unexpected! - Edit
I was happy to find a casual place to eat with my family when passing through Dayton! My seitan gyro was delicious. The seitan was almost cold though and served it chunks which was a little odd. Nice kids menu options, but my the marinara sauce was a little too spicy for my daughter’s liking. Overall happy with our experience and we’ll be back.

There are vegan options for almost everything, including the Reuben, gyro, burgers...even vegan cheeses and mayo. The seitan nuggets & fried cauliflower are to die for -- perfectly seasoned and cooked. If I lived closer than 4 hrs away, I'd live here.

Our go to is Seitan Nuggets breaded and tossed in buffalo with extra buffalo and vegan ranch on the side. Cauliflower Bites tossed in buffalo is s new favorite too!

Could not trust the kitchen - Edit
I ordered the vegan breakfast tacos but received eggs and not sure what else. They offered to remake my order but I just didn't trust the kitchen so I chose not to eat anything. The server was apologetic but I was too freaked out to eat anything there.

Dayton Go To - Edit
Lucky's is definitely at Dayton go to. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, but it's also an easy place to bring non veg friends/family to. Their seitan nuggets, as an appetizer, is super good and all of the other main dishes that I've tried have also been awesome.

Vegan junk food heaven - Edit
We will drive an hour just to have dinner at Lucky's. We've tried almost everything but our go to are the buffalo seitan nuggets (with a side of vegan ranch) followed by the vegan Reuben without 'meat' extra vegan thousand island and the yummy crispy fries. The beer and wine selection are great too. Oh gosh almost forgot the vegan chilli is a must!!

Love to Visit - Edit
This is the only restaurant in Dayton that I insist on going to whenever We are in town. When we visit my in-laws, this place is a must! My husband loves the chili, my daughter loves the hot dogs and I love it all. The seitan nuggets are great- it is not something I find anywhere else or would make at home.
Read moreI wish it was a stand alone restaurant and not a bar. I feel so weird having my kid in there. We only go for lunch so it isn't loud though and they are kid friendly.

Good stuff, mostly soy/wheat meat - Edit
Tried this place out late Monday evening. Glad to see so many vegan options on one menu! We had the seitan wings which were great (BBQ sauce is totally vegan with no honey!) and the vegan reuben with veggie turkey (tofurkey) along with daiya cheese. The sandwich was so-so; tofurky was so tough it would kind of fall out of the sandwich when I ate it. Fries were good. The other people in my party had good food, though.

decent vegan food - Edit
I have eaten there twice and found that the vegan items are plentiful but can be hit or miss. Friends had the vegan ham and cheese and it was the same as you would make it at home--too basic and not exciting at all. I had the vegan hot dog with vegan tequila chili and daiya. It was loaded with good stuff and very tasty. I got two huge loaded dogs and a plate of delicious sweet potato fries for $8! They also had vegan peanut butter cookies that rocked. Husband had vegan burger and thought it was good--little charred from grill but he liked that. They have a huge and interesting beer menu as well and pinball machines! We plan to go again next time we are in the Oregon District.
Read morePros: several vegan options, sweet potato fries rock, vast beer selection
Cons: some vegan items need work, loud bar scene
