Paradise Palms/Lucky Pig a Scottish, vegan tiki-bar!

This felt like the sister to Seattle/Portland's own vegan tiki bars (No Bones Beach Club) with its own unique vibe and menu. Very fun atmosphere and delicious food and drink. Note when trying to find "Lucky Pig" that the sign outside says Paradise Palms (there's just a little Lucky Pig symbol on the menu).

Pros: Fun atmosphere, Delicious food and drink, Inventive!

Cons: Goes by Paradise Palms (easy to miss walking by)

As amazing as the last time!

I have been here a few times and have been so impressed every time. I don’t live in Edinburgh anymore but am visiting for a few days and had to go back! Met a friend for lunch and opted for the chipotle mac n cheese and the fried pickles (this was after spending long enough on what to have as there are so many options). It was absolutely delicious too. Such a nice atmosphere, they do amazing cocktails too. Already planning my next trip here 👍🏻💚

Great vegan options!

Definitely one of the highlights of my birthday trip to Edinburgh! Great cocktails and AMAZING food! Between us my husband and I ate the southern-fried seitan burger, the black bean burger, the frickles, and the meatballs/chips/gravy 'dirty fries' dish. We also had an amazing sharing cocktail in a teapot. Everything was perfection!

Pros: Delicious vegan food, Friendly staff, Welcoming atmosphere

Very nice cocktail place and vegan food

Super cocktail bar! There were no virgin on the menu but the bar tender makes me one😄delicious!
The food I took was good and easy as cauliflower buffalo style, mac and cheese and vegan meatballs.

Pros: Good price

Vegan pina colada

Took my fiancé here for his birthday. The food was really good, I had jackfruit ‘fish’cakes and they were really tasty. The best part though was the vegan pina colada’s!

Pros: Fully vegetarian , Lots of vegan options, Vegan cocktails

Deconstructing and veganaizing your favs

The vibe here is ultra cool. It is very unassuming almost like you would not know it was vegetarian. The lady told me... do you know it is vegetarian. That made me wonder if I look like a meat eater🙈. I enjoyed a vegan schnitzel burger so nice and then took some onion rings just to be a bit true to the Scottish reputation for fried food.

Pros: Great vibe

Cons: I wish they would be more flamboyantly vegetarian

My favorite veg food in Edinburgh

Great stuff, everything I had was quality junk food, all of it veganizable. I particularly recommend the dirty fries with vegan mozz and seitan meatballs. Also those cruuunchy onion rings.

Pros: All veganizable, Freshly battered onion rings!, Great vegan cheese

Amazing

I love this place. I’ve only been once but can not wait to return. Almost everything on the menu can be made vegan and the portions are huge. I had the southern fried seitan and it was delicious. Can’t wait to go back ❤️

Nice and filling

This is a really good and comparably cheap place to get a big meal in Edinburgh. The burgers are great but what other people had on their plates looked really nice as well.

Pros: Large vegan selection

Cons: Good prices for Edinburgh

A different vegetarian

It’s a different restaurant is you are searching for a traditional vegetarian. The place, decoration, the rest it’s normal, the food it’s good but prefer holy cow or Henderson’s

Pros: Food, Place, Staff

Cons: WC, Low light for restaurant

Rolled back home

Firstly, the portions are HUGE. Really really big. We got lots of things but the loaded chilli cheese fries really stood out. Come hungry!!!!

Pros: Lots and lots of options, Gigantic portions, Great cocktail menu

Cons: Only filter coffee, which is actually fine

The best chili bowl

I came here on a sunday evening because it was one of the only places that was open, I didn't want to eat anything unhealthy, therefore I wasn't to excited, went for the least unhealthy option, the Chili bowl, and OH MAN, it was so good and a total surprise. Loaded with beans and garlic fried black rice, absolutely delicous. Huge portion to, I can't recomend it enough.

I was living in a world of make believe

There are days when you are fortunate enough to experience places such as this. Paradise Palms itself is a fantastic bar in its own right, then you throw in the Lucky Pig and a tremendous food and drink combination ensues. Highly recommended by Edinburgh Happy Cow Ambassador Craigmc including a guest appearance from the man himself. The three of us ploughed through a mountain of vegan delights including cheesy jack fruit topped fries, battered pickled gherkins and onion rings, mac’n’cheese, crab cakes and a fish fillet burger. It was an ultimate greed fest that resulted in temporary mobility issues due to excessively filled bellies.

Pros: Splendid interior, Vegan options galore, Great staff

Cons: Downstairs bogs

I was happy to find this place

There are a lot of vegan bars where I come from and was happy to find one that had tequila and pinball. However, drinking in the UK sucks, you ask for liquor and then they put a few drops in a timble and charge you 8 quid, this place was no different. Food wise, the fish sandwich was pretty flavorless, and though the fries were good, they didn't give me anything to put on them.

Best vegan “chicken” ever

The seitan was the best vegan “chicken” I’ve ever had, excellent tofish and amazing nachos. The mac and cheese was a little disappointing though.

Cocktails and beer selection both very good.

Great atmosphere too - a must visit in Edinburgh

Pros: Almost everything is vegan, Very cheap

Good but not great

I've been in the Paradise Palms with my partner for dinner. We had deep fried pickles, Mac and cheese and jackfruit fries (all vegan).
The interior is very nice and interesting. I like the dish selection - most of them sounded very interesting, like the deep fried pickles that we just had to try! The food was good but not the greatest. The Mac and cheese for me was missing some flavour - I ate way better in some other places. The staff was very friendly
