lucky leek - Edit
Me and my girlfriend went to Lucky Leek whilst in Berlin for 1 week. We thought it would be nice to see what vegan fine dining is like, it is clear to say it most definitely wasn't for us. Extremely overpriced, although the dishes looked amazing, portion sizes were very very small. Very pretentious, can't imagine people of a laid back nature would feel comfortable here. I paid €3.40 for a mango juice, less than half a pint, which was poured out of a carton.

Achievement unlocked: featured in the Happy Cow Cookbook - Edit
This is one of the international restaurants featured in the Happy Cow Cookbook. It was fantastic. We had a delicious three course meal with some traditional German fare, wurst, potato salad, dumplings revamped with vegan flair. It was culinary artistry. The restaurant is located in a quaint part of town and has a relaxing atmosphere the encourages savoring dining. A lovely experience!

We had a wonderful seitan fillet. And the dessert was one of the best I have eaten - a lime grass creme brulee from heaven!

Simply wonderful - Edit
Wow… what to say about Lucky Leek, without sounding like some mad fan?
Read moreWell, it's brilliant. The service, the food, and the décor were all top-notch, yet friendly and accessible at the same time.
One thing we were worried about was that 'posh' places like this often serve tiny portions, however our worries were unfounded, as we left feeling full and satisfied.
The menus looked like they were rigid and set, but we could in fact order what we wanted from either the three-course or the five-course menu (I think the 'set' menus are just suggestions).
The prices are at the higher end of the Berlin scale, but it's worth it as an occasional treat. I'm sure Londoners wouldn't even blink at the prices.
In short – go to Lucky Leek!
Pros: Excellent food, Friendly service, Classy but comfortable setting

Gourmet Deliciousness - Edit
This is a gourmet vegan restaurant. My spouse had the five course vegan meal and I the three course vegan meal. It was delicious, inventive, and served with visual appeal. It is so wonderful to go to a restaurant and know that everything is vegan. It was a casually chic place and one could go there to celebrate an event or just go casually. Although some might find it expensive, when you think of the gourmet quality of the food, it is not. My spouse's main dish was a seitan medallion (that seemed to mimic a "filet mignon," but of course without the cruelty) and my main meal seemed to mimic a "beef bourguignon" (again though, cruelty free). The desserts were small tidbits of deliciousness, cakes, truffles, sorbet and so forth. The wait staff was friendly. Do reserve though, it is easy to do on-line.

Great staff - Edit
We made a reservation in advance, but unfortunately we were confrontated with some problems concerning the table decoration. But the staff made everything to feel us welcome and to please us. We had a raw vegan 5 course dinner and it was that amazingly delicious! Thanks for everything!

Lieblingsrestaurant - Edit
Mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant! :)

Superb fine dining experience in Berlin. This place is amazing. The food is just incredible and has really raised the bar for gourmet vegan food. The drinks menu is good, the staff are excellent and the restaurant itself is really good inside.

Perfect food experience - Edit
This was the second time we were at The Lucky Leek and it had kept the standard. As a vegetarian don't miss this chance to experience Michelin star level food. The food was impeccable and perfectly done, every mouthful was a tour de force in balanced taste and texture.
Read moreWe went for the 5 course dinner with wine menu and it was a perfect match.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and allways keen on making sure you got what you need.
The price is "high" compared to the run of the mill vegetarian restaurant, but the level of food craftmanship is worth ten times more.
Do yourself a favor and visit this place!!

Best meal we had in Berlin - Edit
For our last evening meal in Berlin, we decided to dine at the Lucky Leek. We had the five course meal with local Berlin beer. Each course was excellent with a very nice mix of tastes. We sat outside and since it appears to be a quiet neighbour, we found it easy to have conversation. The servers were very pleasant and attentive throughout. Yes, it was expensive but well worth it.

Nice food, too many Bobos - Edit
The food was good, but we didn't like the setting which was quite stiff. Guests were mainly upper middle class people. Presentation and prices are haute cuisine, 5 course menu is 49 euros. Main course (Seitan medaillon with dijon moustard sauce) was missing the Pfifferlinge, which were announced on the menu. Waiters were very friendly.

Outstanding! - Edit
We went here on our first night in Berlin, and it was incredible! Fantastic, friendly service, and absolutely delicious food with perfect combinations of flavours. My boyfriend is quite the meat eater, and after eating the seitan roast, he decided he is going to try being vegetarian for a month. It's quite expensive but totally worth it.

Beautiful but not impressive - Edit
The plates are extremely well presented and there are some very creative ideas, however it doesn't taste quite as good as it looks. I am a vegan chef so I know what could be done to make it more flavourful.. But hey that's just me and I'm a picky eater. Would definitely go back though, despite the high prices.

gourmet vegan dining experience - Edit
Great food and great service. The food is pricey but not as expensive as other gourmet vegan restaurants in Berlin and I preferred the food here to the other places. I loved that each plate had several items on it. The soup came with an unbelievably delicious pastry/roll. The pumpkin ravioli was very good but a bit heavy. My favorite was dessert. We tried both of the desserts which each came as a plate filled with a variety of goodies like basil Ice cream, crembrule, chocolate cake, pumpkin ice cream, truffle, epraline brownie, etc.

I think that this is the best vegan restaurant in the world. My criterion: I couldn't cook it better! The menu is cooked with much love and effort. There isn't anything I would change. I love it!

I get sick here! - Edit
So disappointed! I went there with lots of vegan people for a "stammtisch" and I waited for more than an hour to get my dish.. It was cold, and I got sick after that!! I'm intolerant to gluten and they told me there was no gluten in the dish but I really doubt it. Anyways, everybody seems to like this place so maybe I should give it another try when it's less busy. Oh, and the waiter could be a bit more polite to,, that won't hurt ;)

Best vegan restaurant in Berlin - Edit
They offer 5 dishes which change daily. From them you can choose as many as you want. We all had 2 of them and is more than enough. The portions are bigger than what you would expect from a kind of elegant restaurant.
