Great Asian food - Edit
Came with an omni friend and had the vegan food to share - all very delicious. Pumpkin bao bun was absolutely divine, the fluffy bun with delicious innards so good. The gochujang dumplings were incredible, going to have to come back for them. The runny soy caramel sauce was just *chefs kiss*. The chow getti noodles were also fab, very flavourful. Defs coming back!
Read moreEdit (2023-10-14): came back for lunch -- just as delicious! Had the same bao buns and dumplings, also tried the mystery tofu and edamame, very very yum! Wait staff said that the menu and theming will be changing in a few weeks, so will be back to try again then!!

cool venue - Edit
Great atmosphere; feels a bit like a secret door taking you to another dimension haha
Read moreI loved the bubble tea (I had the Pokémon and the pearls are without gelatine). The food was good, personally I felt it sat a bit weird in the stomach, but, to be fair, I sometimes have issues with Asian seasoning. Definitely a nice restaurant for a night out with friends. They had around six vegan options.

Tasty food - Edit
I shared the vegan bao, dumplings and japchae with a friend. They don't have a huge number of vegan dishes, but all the ones I tried were yum.

Cool venue with great Asian inspired vegan options - Edit
You might accidentally walk past Lucky Chan’s, assuming it is just an everyday laundromat. But look a bit closer... and you’ll see the entrance to one of the coolest venues in Perth.
Read moreI just love the quirkiness of this place, from the laundromat facade, to the hundreds of photos stuck to the ceiling, and the wall covered with actual ironing boards. But the main attraction is the rooftop bar, which periodically changes themes.
Lucky Chan’s also have some great vegan options on their menu. I tried:
🌱Vegan Dan Dan Noodles - Taiwanese noodles, shiitake mushrooms, mapo tofu, chilli sambal olek, bean shoots & Chan’s onion and chilli pickle
🌱Spicy Vegan Bao Buns - delicious golden fried tofu, Szechuan mushrooms, slaw & black sesame mayo
🌱Edgy Vege Noodles - wok fried pumpkin, broccoli, baby corn, teriyaki sauce, spring onion gremolata & lentil noodles
I enjoyed all the dishes but have to say my favourite was the Dan Dan Noodles, they were so packed full of flavor!
⭐️⭐️EDIT: 28 APRIL 2022
Lucky Chan’s bar have some great new vegan options on their menu, plus a very cool new Lara Croft theme on their rooftop bar! 🌴🐍☠️
Meals we tried:
🌱VEGAN CARBONARA - GF pasta with white miso and cashew sauce, with mushrooms, tofu basil, topped with a sprinkling of dried shiitake mushrooms- this one has to be my favourite, it was so incredibly delicious and creamy! 😍
🌱CRISPY TOFU FINGERS $15 - ROAST TOFU, WITH GINGER & TERIYAKI - topped with pickled ginger and beansprouts, so much flavour 🤤
🌱CHAN’S DUMPLINGS ($15 for😄- GOCHUJANG PULLED JACKFRUIT, SOY CARAMEL, VEGAN AIOLI - deep fried and super crunchy on the outside, these are possibly the best dumplings I’ve ever had 😍
Lucky Chan’s are famous for their epic themed cocktails - swipe to see pics and video of the smoking Crystal Skull cocktail 💀 and the Lady Croft cocktail with beautiful artwork.
Also new to the menu is a vegan Japchae noodle dish (roast capsicum, snow peas, shiitake, sweet potato noodles, soy & sesame), and a vegan dessert (Biko - Filipino rice cake, mango, jackfruit & coconut curds).
Definitely a MUST VISIT for not only the amazing food but an all round fantastic experience! 👏🏻

$1 dumplings - Edit
Ok so their ramen isn’t the best in Perth but on saturday nights they offer a $1 dumplings with a vegan option and they’re so tasty! Also all the vegan options are clearly marked on the menu and they change the menu seasonally. It’s a great place to hang with a nice cool ambience

Good service - Edit
I liked how vegan options were clearly marked.
Read moreService was good.
Very cute place.
Taste-wise it didn't hit the spot for me, unfortunately. It was too sweet and the ramen didn't really taste like the usual ramen that I so love. Was a bit disappointed as I saw so many good reviews of them. Maybe we didn't order the right dishes. Hmmm...

It's great that they have vegan options, but:

She also forgot our order, made us move tables twice and the food was almost inedible because of how salty it was.

Good Vegan options - Edit
The opening hours will save you...the schirachi tofu ramen is a excellent vegan option, the tofu is really good, the pasta too, the sauce is a bit strong, like quite spicy and thicker than a normal ramen, brownish...in general, a very good restaurant ! I only give 4 stars because they’re not fully vegan...

Vegan alcoholic bubble tea! - Edit
This place is cool. A nice place for a meal or a party. Lots of clearly marked vegan options.
Read moreYummy tofu chips. Alcoholic bubble tea is cool as! So tasty! Just wish it came in a glass with metal straws it came in plastic like we were taking it away. They need to change that for the environment & for a $19 cocktail it would also look way better so win win!

Lucky vegans who visit here! - Edit
Went to Lucky Chan's on Sunday night and had a choice from two vegan ramen bowls. Either a pulled jackfruit ramen or a "spicy herbivore" bowl with sriracha tofu. I went for the spicy herbivore. The bowl came with the aforementioned sriracha tofu, kombu stock, miso corn, green onions, vegan kimchi, nori, chilli infused noodles, extra cut red chilli, sesame seeds, and shichimi togarashi. Broth was rich and umami, rookie mistake though with not washing the starch off the noodles because the broth became more like gravy by the time I finished.
Read moreSriracha tofu was BOMB though! Awesome chewy texture and sriracha not too overpowering.
Not actually too fond of the chilli noodles. Could have swapped them for spinach noodles, rice noodles, or regular ol' wheat noodles. Not too bad though, entire dish was still pretty good.
Pros: Great ambience!, Opening hours are a lifesaver!
Cons: Expensive compared to other nearby options
