Eco-friendly package-free store!

A pretty little zero-waste store selling a variety of dried goods, herbs and spices amoungst other items that are otherwise difficult to find in Hualien, particularly if you are wanting to cook some Western-style food. If you forget to bring your own reusable containers or bags they have some preloved and cleaned glass jars and paper bags available. All items are labelled in both English and Chinese. The bulk of the products on sale are plant derived.
There is a restaurant attached to the store but it only has a few vegetarian/vegan options.

Pros: eco-friendly, package-free, stocks hard-to-find items

Cons: has a few items containing animal products, attached restaurant is mostly non-veg
