Yummy, generous portions & so many options - Edit
Lovely ambience, large restaurant/seating space, extensive menu and nearly every food is a hit - few missed! Every loving hut is different, as each head chef curates the menu. However, there are many cross-over dishes from other locations! I ordered the following in terms of my preference: E14 sesame bites (amazing), E22 Claypot Fillet Sensation (amazing), N4 Bun Hue spicy noodle soup (amazing), A10 BBQ steam bun (great), E9 Spicy Mambo (good, interesting texture that I wasn’t accustomed to)

Cons: Service can be a bit slow due to only 1 server

Great Service, Food...Not So Great - Edit
Unfortunately the food did not have much flavor and was too oily for my tastes. We shared the golden spring rolls, pot stickers, chow mein, Szechaun green beans and the crispy noodle dishes. The green beans were the highlight. The service was friendly and attentive.

I have become dependent on this place - Edit
I never get tired of the food here, especially now that I have tried more menu items. What I really love is that it’s close to my home, has a large menu of items that are consistently good, and it is overall a pleasant atmosphere with friendly servers. Last time I was here I ordered pad Thai and Vietnamese iced coffee, but I don’t think you can go wrong coming here and just ordering whatever you feel like off of the menu-they just do a consistently good job with all of the food here. I have ordered probably 35-40% of what’s on the menu and have never been disappointed, I am also that nosy person looking at other people’s food as it comes out and it always looks good to me:) Also, they have like Chinese style BBQ buns, and cakes and desserts that I have ordered to go, and they have all been really good. Honestly, I no longer care if the “supreme master” is on the TV in the back talking nonsense anymore, since, as far as religions go, this one seems pretty harmless.

Cons: I never feel like ordering healthy here, Supreme master TV playing way in the back

Loving Hut - Edit
Updated 02.02.19:
Read moreWhoa...this place really scores a 83/100 health score?? For cleanliness? I call BS.
Look, I support all Loving Hut locations and really enjoy my food at most of them--I've even visited many of them worldwide--but I'd have to say this location is one of the worst.
The whole restaurant needs to be power washed and the bathroom was so gross...and that's what they let the customer see...imagine what the kitchen might look like.
It was Christmas, so instead of leaving we sucked it up and stayed and ordered food. We ordered crispy wontons and potato salad as appetizers. The wontons were OK, nothing special. The potato salad never made it until the end of our entrees, in which case we took it to go only to find out it was rotten (it smelled spoiled and tasted rotten...why did I taste it, I don't know...hope?). But why sell spoiled food???
Both of us ordered spicy noodle soup. This was my least favorite version of Loving Huts spicy noodle soup. My dining partner said his tasted like soap...I didn't taste soap but maybe there was cilantro in there??? Who knows.
It's pretty clear that I won't be going back and would not recommend this place to anyone, sadly. I hope they clean up their act...in several ways.

Review from 11.11.11:
Out of all three SF locations, I'm sad to say that this one is my least favorite. But hey, every restaurant can't be #1 right? I'm going to say this experience was mixed because my friends really loved their meals but I really disliked mine. I have a feeling that it had to do with what side of the menu we ordered from - my friends ordered various items from the Asian menu (such as orange chicken) and I, not in the mood for Asian food, opted for the Western menu (Champion Burger and a side of potato salad). Sadly, I felt that my burger was less than stellar and it could have used more flavoring - it also fell apart. My potato salad was terrible, it had too much mustard in it and it also tasted like it had a lot of vinegar in it as well - this is coming from someone who loves potato salad in all forms. I did have few bites of both of my friends' dishes and they were all really good, one of my friends talked about the orange chicken for a few days after our visit. Overall, I'd say this place is between a 3.-3.5 and I'd go back again, but would certainly avoid the burger.

Loving hut will not let you down - Edit
My wife and i have been to countless loving huts across the countey. Most are asian themed, although they often make classics like club sandwiches and burgers. Some hold brunch hours. Some are bistro styled, but most are traditional sit down restaurants. At this location we tried the golden nuggets and two club sandwiches. The nuggets were standard fried vegan items used for appetizers. They had a good firm feel and flavor, but were nothing special. The club sanwiches were amazing. They used firm, cooked pieces of tofu within the multiple layers of the sandwich. These sanwiches kept well for an hour or two as we ate them at the airport. Loving huts are a must to visit for vegans.

Very good - Edit
We showed up not in a hurry. We are retired too. These guys are soooo slow. Food was awesome. Potato salad, Szechwan green beans, crispy mushroom dish, chow mein and pineapple fried rice. Anyway. Food was really good. Really slow.

Vegan To-Go in Inner Sunset - Edit
I feel fortunate to be close to this place daily, lots of options and they carry vegan chocolates that are hard to find for a special treat on your way out. Traditional Thai foods, some American. Also check out their desserts! They do catering and are available via Caviar if you’re into that.

There were so many options on the menu; it took us awhile to decide. We settled on the spicy lemongrass deluxe, pineapple fried rice, and golden spring rolls. Finished off with some chocolate cake. Perfect!

My home away from home - Edit
Ever since moving to the sunset, Loving Hut has been my home away from home. They know us by name now and our favorite dishes and how we like a side of steamed broccoli instead of rice. I have had almost everything on the menu and there's nothing I don't like.
Read moreOn a hot day, I like the mango salad or the heavenly salad. On a cold day, the sweet and sour soup. They have an amazing fish fillet dish that is really filling and full of delicious seaweed.
The mint chocolate chip cheesecake is my favorite cake in the city. It's just the right amount of rich and creamy and chocolate. That with a good cup of gogi berry ginger tea and I'm happy.
Very one is so friendly and accommodating even when you order delivery or to go. Even the western dishes are good. The pesto zucchini noodles are amazing.
Pros: Friendly staff, Affordable, All vegan!!

Loving Hut lunch - Edit
Thoroughly enjoyed lunch at Loving Hut, Sunset, waling distance from UCSF Parnassus medical school campus. Part of international chain, and while some of them carry same/similar staples, each one is unique in its own way. Had the samosa patty as an appetizer - very flaky crust with well seasoned filing of spices, potatoes and peas. Enjoyed entree of sauteed mushrooms, carrots, onions over brown rice.

Yummy, large portions, reasonably priced - Edit
This location of Loving Hut has a fairly extensive menu of amazing, delicious food. Not the most healthy, but everything seems to be fairly fresh w/ lots of plant-based protein options. Service isn't always the most personable, but food is reasonably priced for SF and usually comes out pretty quickly. Highly recommended!

Solid and consistent - Edit
The Loving Hut chain is always reliable for good consistent food. This particular one had a HUGE menu. We stuck with our favorites but tried the won tons and golden nuggets as new appetizers.

The service was probably the least friendly of the Loving Huts I’ve visited. Not mean or rude, just abrupt. Completely different from my experiences at the ones in Garden Grove or Orange.
Pros: You can always expect a solid tasty meal, Lots of available seating

Excellent Food & Lovely Service - Edit
We had the Pineapple Fried Rice, and a noodle dish that was the house favorite, as well as the Vegetable Sushi. It was all so yummy, and made us feel so good. Also, the garlic chili sauce is the best I've ever had. Service was so thoughtful and kind. We were offered water or hot tea, and we had the tea, which I believe was a Green Jasmine. What an amazing place; simple, but classy. I love the notes around the space promoting vegan diet and peace, as well as a few posters of well known people who are/were vegetarians, such as Albert Einstein and Benjamin Franklin.

Hella Good Food - Edit
This restaurant does vegan right yo I'm telling you they know how to cook plants. This place has hella options that are ALL vegan. I was overwhelmed because I don't eat out much and I'm always having to adjust the menu to my diet so you can imagine what a mess I was trying to decide what to eat since I could have everything. Well I finally settled on the the stir fried broccoli and beef soy protein and omigod that [censored] was bomb I'm telling you y'all need to hit this place up and get some vegan food because you'll love it I swear.

A very filling lunch! - Edit
Enjoyed the meal here at Loving Hut! Not my first time eating here as there is a Loving Hut in San Jose which I have eaten at and taken my family to. As we are all plant based eaters it's nice to have a place where each member of the family can get something they enjoy! I have a few food allergies including sesame and MSG which results in migraine ...did not have that experience here I am happy to say!

Casual bite - Edit
Found this on Happycow. Here's my Loving Hut Sunset location review. It's a deep space with plenty of seating. At the front of the restaurant is a counter with glass case display of some cooked dishes (for their lunch specials - rice + one entree) and another display of colorful cakes and other snacks. Overall it's very relaxed. The menu is extensive and most dishes come with a photo image so you can see what you might like to get. I always like to get the pho noodle soup, so I did. It arrive piping hot with a aromatic cinnamon scent. Taste was ok. I also ordered a side of potstickers (pan fried dumplings). The prices are inexpensive, and our waiter was very courteous. A kind of stop to get a quick bite when in the Sunset area.

Delicious, well priced, great variety! - Edit
We were craving soup, and we're disappointed by the other Phö restaurants around--nearly no veggie options! So glad to find this vegan haven!! Restaurant was clean and staff welcoming. The wonton soup was delicious, but R3 Mushroom clay pot was an unexpected favorite--comforting, great flavor, hot! Wish I could eat there everyday.
