Quick and Filling

Friendly service and filling vegan food for a cheap price. My partner and I paid $12.50 total and each got three buffet selections and fresh juice. Many of the options were vegan versions of Chinese food, but I also had a delicious basil salad that was very fresh. Overall we were really happy. No, it's not a fancy place, but the price-value differential is high. Would definitely go again.

Tasty-ish and good-ish

I liked it. But i never figured out why it costs here $1.50 per scoop, when around the corner in El Jardin Vegetariana it costs $0.70. To me it seems that they were serving a bit better food but not twice better.

The place is nevertheless better, much more calmer and spacious. So perhaps the extra $0.80 per scoop are reasonable. But im not completely convinced.

However, i would eat there again.

Pros: quality is good enough

Good and tasty

Loving Hut is a well known vegan chain. I tried it in different countries, and Loving Hut Panana is one of the best I went to. Food is good and tasty, nothing to complain about it. Of course, there's a lot of mock meat and fish, which is not the healthiest option in the world, but you have a large choice of 100% vegan food in a country which is not vegan-friendly. The vegan burger was excellent, recommended. The place could be nicer and service is very poor.

Pros: good and tasty food, large choice

Cons: poor service

Good basic food

As of June 2015, each item you choose costs $1.25, so it's a good deal. You can buy juice or another type of drink, or water and tea are free at the little table. It's nice to be able to see what you are ordering from the steam table. Not haute cuisine, but it's ok. Even though it's a vegetarian restaurant, there were almost no vegetables of color (no carrots, broccoli, etc.). Everything looked bland except for the green salad.

Pros: Location, Price

Cons: Lack of color; everything bland looking

Good and cheap

If you're looking for a place to eat vegan without worrying about what you can and can't eat, then I suggest Lovin Hut.
Many of the items are very greasy, so be careful if you don't consume oils.
So far I love the soy shrimps, sweet and sour soy meat, something that's soy based and tastes like turkey (no idea of its name), the noodles and they always have steamed pak choy and fresh juice, which I love about this place.
It's ideal to eat there if you're in a hurry cause everything is served buffet style, but it's not a place where I'd eat every day, mostly cause they tend to serve almost the same items daily and it's really calorie dense.
Overall good food for a reasonable price (portion).

Pros: Cheap, Buffet style, Everything's vegan

Cons: greasy and oily, repetitive food items

Okay, but could be better . . .

We were there around 8 p.m. and the food quality was just so-so, ditto for the ambiance.

While the staff was quite helpful, the decor is a little rough. I guess I've been spoiled by the much better impression left by other Loving Huts in the US, but this one has potential

Pros: Location seems well traveled, Menu variety, Cruelty-free food!

Cons: dingy, desserts weren't moist, food not as fresh as in US locations

best vegan option in panama city

i rarely go to loving hut restaurants. i usually reserve them as last resort options, but this loving hut was one of the better ones i've experienced. the servings were huge, and the prices were fair. the staff was friendly as well.

nice food, good value

large selection of vegan items on a buffet, fresh juices... part of world-wide chain which all have different menus ... some of the items we tried were very tasty and others just average.. but none the less after eating just beans and rice in most restaurant, it was very nice to have such a selection of fresh vegan food ..

Pros: nice selection , tasty

Excellent vegan food at bargain prices

Excellent vegan food at bargain prices. Normally one should beware of multi-cuisine restaurants which do nothing well, but not the case at Loving Hut. The Chinese food was very tasty, but so were the veggie burgers. We've had good experiences at Loving Huts around the world and this was no exception. Portions were generous - our family of four ate for about $20 - and conveniently located in El Cangrejo. A strong candidate for best choice for vegetarians in Panama City!

Pros: Food quality, Prices

THE vegan place to go in Panama City

Went here yesterday and loved it. Dario was so nice and helpful and friendly.

I ate Ginger Noodles (with green onions and seitan), ensalada mixta, sopa panameña, jugo de papaya con leche de coco, flan, y tiramisu. All vegan. All delicious.

I have to tell you that I disagree with the pricing on this listing. All of that for two people (plus a bottle of water) cost $16.50. Pretty cheap.

Don't go to El Jardin Vegetariano down the street. If youre staying in Panama City for a while, just keep going to Loving Hut. It's worth it. There are also a couple of places a $3 taxi cab away in Casco Antiguo that have vegan items on their menu (Cafe Los Del Patio, a place beside Luna's Castle Hostel that starts with a P..., etc.).

Pros: Delicious Food, Good menu variety, Good prices

Cons: none

Delighful meals at Loving Hut

As a vegetarian now living in Panama city, Central American I am delighted to find excellent food and service at Loving Hut. Friends invited me and it was a happy surprize. We now eat there regularly before going out to movies or after meetings in the city. They have great salads, hot meals with a good variety of tofu and other like veggie dishes. Our pilot friend said he was completely unaware of vegetarian restaurants, he thought I was the only odd ball around - and he ordered the burger and said it was delicious and most surprizingly so. The gentle presence and helpfulness of the staff encourages us to return too.

Pros: Excellent food, Excellent value, loving staff

Cons: can't think of any so far

Nice place, good food and good prices

This was my first Loving Hut visit and I was impressed with the selection of food. About half of the options were various "fake meats" but there was also plenty of noodles, veggies and even chocolate cake :D

Good Place Overall

They had good food here in a "pay by the serving" (I think .75 per serving) buffet. They have mostly Chinese items but some Central American items (things like yuca or squash). There are about 15 entrees and side dishes in the buffet. If the food isn't spicy enough for you (it isn't particularly spicy), they have hot sauce available. Service is fast and friendly, and they even have a few dedicated parking spots in front in the event you drove there. The location is convenient--a few blocks north of Via España along Av Manuel Espinosa Batista.

Pros: good food, cheap, good service

Cons: not spicy enough (but there's hot sauce), closes at 8:30 PM (a bit early)

Best thing you can do for climate warming

The food is delicious, with a mix of chinese and caribbean, big quantities and very cheap. The location is just in front of the National University.

Beverage almost free less than a dollar, with $5.00 you can eat and you can take for your house.

Pros: excellent food , superb varlue, great portions
