Great for allergy adaptations - Edit
Iris helped me find dishes I can have after LHC left me with food sensitivities including garlic, gluten, turmeric, coconut and ginger, plus 40 other foods. In SD for Mom’s 89th, traveling with food allergies is tough. IRIS and LH had great food that Mom loved too. Thank you!

Loving lunch - Edit
Working in the area for a couple of days, so I returned to the Loving Hut with a coworker for a quick lunch.
Read moreHe had the katsu curry which looked great, although they were out of brown rice which he preferred.
They have a selection of Impossible burgers now, but those are not my fave so I went with the SeaCo Fysh sandwich and onion rings. The sandwich was really tasty, with tartar sauce, cheese, lettuce and tomato. The onion rings contained minced onions instead of a full onion ring, but the taste was good. Nothing was left when we were done, that is for sure.
Pros: Great selection, Food is tasty and prepared well, Friendly staff

Had the McNuggets, Epic ramen, and Pho. Food came out super fast, staff was really nice, and everything was so good. Creamy ramen broth. Pho was super fresh. Nuggets were crispy and hot. Zero complaints. Reasonably priced for vegan food.

No longer a fan - Edit
After pandemic, some people’s mentality seems to shift.

4/30/24 - celebrating a friend’s birthday. I suggested Loving Hut (I am the only vegan). 2 of us ordered pho. When they came out, I noticed there was no bean sprouts. I love bean sprouts and always used all of it. I asked and the serve just, sorry we are out of sprouts. I thought they could have said that when we order.
5/10/24 - been so busy at work, and working average about 9 hours a day for the past 2 months. Wanting to eat healthy and ordered a Cesar Salad added the extra - “chikn”. My bad not clarify it’s grilled or not. But what I was not happy about are the thin pieces of protein was dried and hard, very hard to chew, not to mention that made thin sharp edges (See pic). Healthy lunch fail and it was not enjoyable unhealthy lunch.
Called and got a credit for it)
5/15/24 - been working hard, my manager wanted to treat me and few other colleagues lunch. Most of them got sandwiches. He is aware I am vegan so asked me where to buy me a lunch. I took me to Loving Hut. No issue this day, good Spicy Cha Cha.
5/17/24 - ordered pho asked without the hard and dried protein pieces because I didn’t like that from before (same that they had with my salad), please just steamed as protein). I wanted to share and show my coworker delicious vegan food. What a huge fail and so embarrassed. I was upset and called them back, first responds “We are out of them.”, I replied, “Why could you let me know when I order? I could have order something else?”. Now she wanted me to hold so she can check, and return to apology that they forgot. Asked me to return, my reply, “I am at work, we have lunch schedule.” I am the passive type but I was so upset, I straight out tell her this was embarrasses to show case vegan food, ridiculous and unacceptable.
Reach out Facebook message, the manager/owner call the restaurant, employee had the audacity to said that she thought the basils, sprouts, jalapeño were under the tofu. Seriously! (See photo). Yes, they offered an other credit. Now I have two credits because I didn’t use the first one because I was getting over that stupid salad, but this worst experience really let me accessing the past experience these past few month.

I returned for a 2nd and 3rd time. Again for the Orange Chick'un and other night for the Inzane burger. Both oh so good. garlic fries with the burger were amazing. one request would be the food be a little hotter (temperature) when it comes to the table. Pleasant staff as always

the ramen was so flavorful and savory, better than any non vegan ramen ive had. the sushi had the perfect inner crunch. the ube shake tastes like a sugar cookie. im curious if i will have as good an experience next time since I think I tried the best items already. But i will be back since this place fills a gap in good vegan food in Mira Mesa

Second time coming to this location and everything was delicious. Had the lemon pepper cauliflower wings with ranch (one of the best ranches I’ve had) and the house sauce (so good we asked for another cup to go). Also had the tofu and eggplant which was amazing. Both were large portions and cooked perfectly.

Best loving hut I've ever visited! - Edit
I've visited a lot of Loving Huts, and this is my favorite! 5 years ago I came here on vacation and had the Amazing Sauté, and I definitely wanted to come back! I am pleased to report it is just as good as I remembered!
Read moreI ordered takeout thru the restaurant's own online ordering platform. We got the Amazing Sauté, Lucky Lemongrass, and Kung Pao. The Amazing Sauté lives up to its name, it is truly amazing! Their secret amazing sauce is just so good. The Kung Pao was also excellent and spicy. The Lemongrass tasted like garlicky fried chicken.
There was a good amount of parking available on a weeknight, and pickup was very easy.

Had the avocado BLT sandwich. It was a decent sandwich. It’s a large portion so you can definitely have it with another person.
Read moreSide note: normally the vegan restaurants are pretty nice, but they are a bit rude at this location. As I walked in the guy at the front said he would be with me. Which is totally fine, but as soon as a few people walked in behind me he helped them first and sat them ahead of me. And said to his other co-worker in a demeaning way, “Can you deal with this guy.” Definitely didn’t appreciate it. It made me not want to eat at all. I hope management finds useful employees.
Pros: All vegan , Portion sizes
Cons: Rude

Always Good - Edit
We’ve been to this location several times and have ordered many different menu items. The food has been excellent each time. Last night we tried the Carne Asada fries and the Inzane burger….WOW! Super flavorful and delicious. Other favorites are the spam musubi, Pad Thai, and the Cali burrito. We usually order the food to go, and have never had a problem with our orders or the service. I took a couple non-vegan friends with me in the summer, and they both loved their food, too. Very grateful to have such a wide variety of plant based food to choose from! Highly recommend 💚👍

Problematic Manager - Edit
I frequently order from this location since it’s within walking distance from my house and the food is usually good. However, there have been multiple times where my order has been messed up. Today, when I had tried to get a replacement order that was promised, the manager refused to help me and banned me from ordering from the restaurant again. She had blamed me for their errors on past orders and had said that my family should find another restaurant to eat at since we like to complain so much.
Read moreThe servers there are really nice and the food is good when it’s made right. I just felt like this experience didn’t represent Loving Huts values of treating the customer with respect. I have always recommended this restaurant for their food to my friends even when my orders wouldn’t be made correctly.

Excellent, except… - Edit
Love this place. Been here a few times, and I’ve had the Epic Ramen, which was amazingly flavorful and the seitan slices perfectly cooked. I’ve also had the Fabulous Mongolian, which is probably one of the best things I’ve ever had and generous portions too! I’ve ordered the pad Thai but that was underwhelming. The sauce isn’t great but the place has so many great options, I wouldn’t count it as a wrinkle. The spring rolls are also well cooked. This place has become my go to restaurant and I love it! My only other complaint is that sometimes staff isn’t as knowledgeable about the food and ingredients but I sympathize because I get the whole labor shortage and the need to hire first train later, but let’s be a bit more proactive with the training!
