Das spirituelle TV-Programm läuft tonlos; Buddha is watching you - was völlig in Ordnung ist. Kurzum: Hin!

Vegan asian cuisine in a relaxed place

Recently we went there with a larger group of people and spent a nice evening in a relaxed atmosphere at this place. Will definitely come back soon!

This Loving Hut place is a bit different from the ones I have visited before. Like the others it offers vegan meals only, but this one is specialized in asian cuisine. The menu offers a great selection of asian dishes: It includes dishes with vegan meat alternatives, desserts and a good selection of beverages as well.

The place looks modest, with warm and relaxed atmosphere. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive, our orders did not take long. I like that it is not a posh place at all and the prices are affordable. You should make a reservation if you go there with a larger group of people.

Pros: So much to select on the menu, Also has desserts, Fair prices

Alright food for an alright price

I had the sweet & sour which was an alright dish; nothing special, but not bad either. The service was quick but you could tell they were a bit stressed because of all the customers. The atmosphere was alright, nothing special. I would come back here to try their other dishes.

Food 4/5
Service 4/5
Atmosphere 3/5

Super Auswahl

Horrible bland sub-standard food

I went there three times just to make sure I had not missed anything, but I would always rate this extremely bland standard asian food, served by extremely disinterested staff.
Very annoying that this is often named as a good vegan destinaton. :-(

hit the hut

Surprisingly quiet for a Friday night but really to happy to give them business.
Had a fish starter which was great. A dried tofu dish for the making was also spot on.
Could have done with a bit more veg, but worth tracking down.

Pros: 100%, staff

Good but not outstanding

First I want to say that the food was good and it's still such a great feeling when you can order everything on the menu without checking every single ingredient. But after eating in many asian food restaurants I have to say it was good food but not outstanding.

really nice!

We had the pancake with "seafood" as a starter (which was amazing - we talked about it for days afterwards) and some mail dishes. There was A LOT of food and choices. The seitan was a bit weird (and the still water as well), but all in all a great experience. Would definately go back

Pros: cheap, quick, delicious

Cons: weird bottled water

Tasty

Very good tea options. Maybe too much use of the shrimps substitute. Unusual low in salt for Asian restaurant food.

Pros: Low in salt, Cheap in price

Perfect food, low price

We ordered and we asked if we could have fried rice instead of white rice. (As I said, we're Asian, rice is something I eat almost every day) This lady answered: "Passt nicht" ("Doesn't match"....) I was like: "but we both want it, you can charge extra if you want" Lady: "If you both want it, ok, you have to pay extra"

Good.

So the food came, it was delicious! The fried rice was more of a Nasi Kuning kind, the salad was fresh and full of flavor, the curry my sister ordered was terrific! My vegan shrimp was soso, (but that's personal, I don't fancy battercoating, the 'shrimp' inside was good!) And, we thought it combined very well with the fried rice! ^_^

One lunch meal was only €6,90 and you get to choose if you want free mini eggroles, or soup with it... Incredible!

The lady was very sweet, and I ordered a frizzle lemonade, it was soooo nice and refreshing! I love it!

My sister had a vegan Chocolatecake and she thought it was wonderful.

So all in all this place gets a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 rating!

Pros: Good food, Low price, Sweet sweet staff

A typical Loving Hut restaurant

I've been to many Loving Hut restaurants in different countries and I like their wide range of Asian dishes, and that a lot of them contain really nice mock meats. This is a typical Loving Hut restaurant. However, their menu doesn't have the additional local dishes that some Loving Hut restaurants sometimes have, at least not on the lunch menu. Instead, you get lunch for a really fair price with a starter included (soup or spring rolls). I would recommend most Loving Hut restaurants that I've been to and this one is no exception!

Pros: Excellent food, Good value for your money

Not fantastic but okay

I had the Rainbow dish (tofu, boiled vegatables, rice and satay souce). It was fairly cheap and the staff was friendly but the dish was only okay. Maybe there are better options on the menu.

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Food was only okay

Don't understand the hype

Loving Hut is a popular international vegan restaurant chain so I was really excited to finally try it out for the first time at this Hamburg location.
The interior seems a bit lifeless even though an effort is made to make it look interesting and Asian.
Service is decent and quick.
Unfortunately, the food is really rather boring. We had the summer rolls which didn't taste particularly fresh and two different main dishes that looked almost identical and didn't taste very special. For sure, the food must be healthy, but it shouldn't have to be this bland.
From now on, I will only check out another Loving Hut location if there are no other vegan options available in a city.

Pros: All vegan, Healthy food

Cons: Bland taste

Tasty

Every time I visit Hamburg I try to pass here by at least once. The food is very tasty, although sometimes a bit too fatty (in my humble opinion). The owners are very friendly.

Pros: good Asian food, all-vegan, friendly people

Cons: not very cosy

Loving Hut

There is very much silence and the daily true-light illumination and citron yellow walls, what might be a bit strange and antiromantic. But the service has very good manners and the broad menu is pure and their attention is a humble and beneficial one, so that after some hours, you enjoy sitting on comfortable bamboo seats in this location with Asiatic flair.

Pros: a lot of different dishes, calm and polite atmosphere, on a pub place, a good alternative

Cons: not very romantic, no modern European fast-food, Asian

Good food but not great for hanging out

We walked a bit before we found it because it is not super central in Hamburg. The food was more than okay, especially since the price was also very reasonable.
The menu was very big and I enjoyed being able to choose whatever I wanted since everything was Vegan. However, the atmosphere isn't that great (a little take-away-ish) and so we didn't stay longer than necessary also, they don't serve any kind of alcahol.
That said I still think it is worth a visit if you are in the area, not too expensive, nice faux meat and an authentic feel (if that is a good or bad thing in this case is up to you to decide).
Ow the starter and the chocolate cake for desert where awesome.

Pros: Full Vegan with loads of cool faux meats (seafood

Cons: Not really cozy

Great dessert - good food.

The atmosphere isn't all that cozy in my opinion. The TV is on and the register constantly made noises. But the food was cheap, close to centrum and it tasted really nice. Especially the bananasplit and nut balls for dessert was AMAZING! Their mock meat was very convincing, almost to good to be true.

Pros: Many vegan options , Great mock meats , Very cheap

Cons: Atmosphere was a little off

Very good Asian food

The restaurant is located in a popular area in central Hamburg.
The food is really good and portions are big!
We tried the chocolate layer-cake for dessert and it was just perfect, so fluffy and tasty!
The only negative point is that they don't even have one Germand traditional dish as some Loving Hut restaurants sometimes do...but you can choose from different Frtiz Cola to drink ;-)

Pros: Food, Price

Cons: Only Asian food
