Many, many varieties of mushrooms, you must have the taco al pastor, seriously the best vegan taco I have ever had.

My favorite in CDMX! - Edit
Very interesting menu. I think all but one dish is mushroom based. We ordered a variety of tacos and loved them all. We also ordered the dish with the molé sauce which I highly recommend. Best meal I had in Mexico City.

Disappointing Experience 😢 - Edit
I really wanted to like this place, but the food just didn’t live up to the hype. Everything was overly oily and lacked flavor. The staff also came across as quite rude, which made the experience even more disappointing. I don’t mind paying for good food, but it has to actually be good — unfortunately, this wasn’t it. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

This was our first meal in cdmx and it did not disappoint. The city has a lot of great vegan tacos, but if you’re looking for something different, this is the place to go.

OMFG - Los Loosers? So good! - Edit
Honestly, HappyCow saves the day AGAIN (not surprised). I’m a flight attendant and sometimes I can’t find good vegan food on my overnights - or it’s 1038759 miles away.
Read moreLos Loosers should have a Michelin star. It’s fantastic. The first vegan restaurant in ALL OF México and they make everything from scratch.
The location is in a cute part of town - lots of people watching. It’s just a cute and normal neighborhood. The interior, decorated so well… minimal, but cute. Fits the ambiance of the neighborhood.
Walked up and (as is usually the case), I forgot every bit of Spanish I know. No worries, many of the wait staff speak English and they have menus with English on one side and Spanish on the other. Do not let language hold you back from coming here!
I ordered the Papas Fermentadas (think fries - but better). Also ordered the Tokiolula Taco and the Fish Taco. All made with mushrooms. I thought the Tokiolula was MARVELLOUS. DELICIOUS. AMAZING. I WOULD EAT IT EVERY DAY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!
Dessert - Okay, my Spanish came back by now and all of the wait staff said that the galletas were really good - but I’m allergic to almonds, so I couldn’t order it.
So, come to Los Loosers.
Also, I attached a picture as to why it’s called Los Loosers - because it was mentioned in another review that it shouldn’t be called that. But there’s a reason😄
Pros: Tokiolula tacos, The ambiance, The service.

How is this not a Michelin 🌟?! - Edit
Why is this not one of the top rated restaurants in CDMX? I’m so impressed and this is one of the best vegan foods I ever had in my life! They are farm to table and make their own corn tortillas and ferment their own beverages and have medicinal botanical additions like wild mushrooms! They ferment their own almond cheese as well. The food is a composition of flavor and texture - like poetry on a plate that surprises and nourishes. A feast for the palate.

Great place! - Edit
I was very impressed by the quality of the food and the quantity as well. I also had a ginger wasabi drink that was amazing. I took the bistec con queso tacos and they were delicious. Everything is fresh and I believe organic. The price is also right. 253 pesos was my total…then I added the tip. I highly recommend this place.

Tiny hole in the wall / contemporary boutique style restaurant. Very progressive. Met the chef she is awesome.
Read moreCome here for the art of food, of course known for its mushroom selection. Small cute menu and unique drink options. Everything you eat here will be warm tasty and you’ll want more. Wish the portion was bigger although the tacos are built hefty.

Los Ganadores? - Edit
I'm not sure I'd choose the name The Loosers for a vegan restaurant; we are doing right by the animals and the planet (and ourselves)!
Read moreI was stoked that I'd found another vegan restaurant that actually existed in CDMX, where businesses seem to come and go in the blink of an eye.
It was a bit of a hike to Los Loosers from Chapultepec Park after I'd already spent the last 2.5 hours on my feet, but it was definitely worth it.
I need to start taking pics of the menu because I don't recall the exact name of the food I had! I ordered a wheat style beer and a tostada as an appetizer that was a special item (so good I should have ordered two). The main was one of the most ordered items, but I don't recall the name. It came with a rich, dark mole sauce. The presentation of the food is excellent. I wasn't loving the main course, but maybe mole isn't my thing. However, that didn't stop me from cleaning my plate!
I would love to try some of the other items on their menu.
Pros: Cute space, Service, Unique menu

Great service - Edit
We loved the vibe and some of the food here. The place is slightly more expensive for the area but seems more upscale. We loved our drinks, starter and deserts, but were a bit disappointed by our mains. Other peoples (ramen&tacos) looked amazing though. We would sadly not recommend the vegan interpretations of the other mexican dishes, but might be personal preference.

This place was a great delight. I feel like this place is not just for vegans but also non-vegans as the flavors are so unique. I landed up overeating just because I wanted to taste more things. Had the Chili Oil Tofu, Tetela con mole negro and grilled cheese. I loved the chili oil tofu.

Eating here was a beautiful experience. Our server Melissa was great and had excellent recomedations! I love the pickles/kimchi that come on the side of a lot of the dishes. We had some beers including a pumpkin spice one! Tried some mezcal and basically floated home after that. The quesidilla was light and tasty and my taco which had oyster mushrooms in it was delicous

One of those places that’s more than the food. Clearly a lot of thought and love by the owner. Everything was fantastic. They even brew their own drinks, some of them mushroom based, all great. Would definitely go back. I had dumplings and three taco dishes, hard to pick a winner

CDMX has a lot of vegan restaurants but from the ones we tried, we felt Los Loosers was one of the best.

Elote was a pleasant surprise. The local indigenous corn tasted so good even by itself.
