Absolutely incredible!

If you want a special experience you definitely can not go past this place. It is a journey through local Indonesian produce. You get the learn about many different fruits, vegetables, herbs and nuts. It is expensive but worth every cent to be taken through a 3 hour exploration into a new appreciation for tropical Asian flavours.
This is not a simple ‘charred vegetable’ fine dining experience, everything has layers and layers of different elements, techniques and flavours. They try to source everything locally, grow their own produce and experiment with a vast variety of ferments. Leaning heavy on a vegetable forward approach.
I would consider this one of the best restaurants we have been to across the entire world so far. I would give this place 5 stars and would return in a heartbeat.

Had higher expectations

The experience and service are amazing, lots of surprises. The food and drinks on the other hand were a bit weird. I am not used to Asian tastes, so it took me by surprise. There were some ok dishes, bust most of them were not my taste.

Incredible 20 course tasting menu

Incredible place, it feels like it is in the middle of nowhere but when you enter the property it has the feel of a James Bond Villain’s lair.

To start your journey you are given an aperitif and a couple of dishes.

You then move through the building, stopping at various places (won’t say too much, don’t want to give away the experience. Before finally being seated.

The service was exceptional, the food even better. You get a chance to get a close up of the kitchen and are surrounded by natural beauty.

Everything is dairy free already and most items are grown on sight or foraged from Bali. I specified no honey when booking to avoid any confusion as some places in Bali do not realise honey is not vegan.

One of the cocktails I had was a pine needle and shiitake mushroom - strange concept but works really well.

Overall we had a great time and easily one of the best tasting menus I have had.

It did cost around £120 per person for the tasting menu but this did include over 20 courses.
