So cute - Edit
Amazing sweet pastry selection from Alex Gooch 🥰🥰🥰 Lovely little refill shop, with lots of other little eco friendly things to buy. Food was delicious and plenty of choice of seating. Great selection of children’s books to read upstairs while waiting for food. Really relaxed atmosphere. And food came much quicker than we expected.

Super helpful staff, plenty of vegan options. We had the loaded hash browns - cheese & beans - proper tummy filler! Plus the build your own salad bowl which offered a range of interesting options such as chilli cucumber and black bean houmous.

I was too late for real food, so I had just a Cinemon Bun and a Berry Smoothie. The bun was alright, the Smoothie was great.

Nice find - Edit
Overall a decent experience here in the middle of a road trip. Vegan choices were decent and food was tasty. Although, as others have said, it would be better if it was all vegan, especially considering the shop's focus on sustainability. The coffee (with pea milk) was really good.

i’ve been here a couple times and it’s such a lovely cafe. the menu is really good with most things being vegan friendly. I had the garlic thyme mushrooms on toast last time and it was very good! my family had the chilli bowl and cheese kimchi toastie, as well as some pastries, which they really enjoyed. i’m looking forward to trying the vegan shakshuka and salad bowls too so will update my review when i have. the shop downstairs is fun to have a browse in too!

We've eaten here many times and have always had a good experience! The menu has obviously been put together by someone who understands veggie food and I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried. The (vegan option) kimcheese toastie shouldn't be missed.

Fresh, local, proper food - Edit
Super café with seating outdoors so you can keep an eye on your bike. Some interesting options on the menu - "proper" food as opposed to fast food. They seem to focus on locally sourced ingredients. I had the ploughman's which includes four different cashew nut cheeses from Pip's and some excellent kimchi and sauerkraut. They also have a variety of vegan cakes, chocolates and sweets to treat yourself. Reasonable prices for very high quality food, and excellent friendly service.

Back for a refill - soon! - Edit
I've used the shop at Little Green Refills a few times, and long thought I should try the café for lunch, so today seemed like as good a day as any: a fine Welsh spring day with black clouds forever looming. I wasn't particularly hungry and the asparagus soup appealed - I figured it would be just enough for a light lunch. I wasn't wrong. It came with some toasted sourdough (probably from the excellent but eye-wateringly expensive Angel bakery just down the road, by the taste of it), and it was simply delicious, creamy with a subtle hint of asparagus. It was so good that it was only when I'd finished that I realised I hadn't asked for pepper, or a glass of wine. I'll definitely be back (maybe they'll serve wine by then).
Read moreIncidentally, the shop sells all the usual things you'd expect in a refill store - pulses, pasta, cereals, spices, toiletries - but also some treats such as Moroccan marmalade (made in Talgarth, naturally), which is subtly spiced, and fava bean paste, which has a lovely umami flavour. both are utterly addictive, utterly irresistible.
