So cute

Amazing sweet pastry selection from Alex Gooch 🥰🥰🥰 Lovely little refill shop, with lots of other little eco friendly things to buy. Food was delicious and plenty of choice of seating. Great selection of children’s books to read upstairs while waiting for food. Really relaxed atmosphere. And food came much quicker than we expected.

Pros: The fruit cruffin 🥰, Ooh! Dark chocolate , The rest of the pastries 😍😍😍

Cons: Lots of non-vegan chocolate etc

Lovely find!

Super helpful staff, plenty of vegan options. We had the loaded hash browns - cheese & beans - proper tummy filler! Plus the build your own salad bowl which offered a range of interesting options such as chilli cucumber and black bean houmous.
The place has a very veggie in the 1990’s vibe which was very chilled and relaxed.

Ecological Shop and Cafe

I was too late for real food, so I had just a Cinemon Bun and a Berry Smoothie. The bun was alright, the Smoothie was great.

Nice find

Overall a decent experience here in the middle of a road trip. Vegan choices were decent and food was tasty. Although, as others have said, it would be better if it was all vegan, especially considering the shop's focus on sustainability. The coffee (with pea milk) was really good.

Pros: Great coffee, Good vegan options, Nice outdoor seating

Cons: Should have all been vegan

A perfect place for lunch

We stopped here to break up our drive home from a trip and we're very pleased to find this place. We had a delicious vegan toastie and loaded hash browns. I was pleased to have a strawberry milkshake with oat milk. We will definitely go here next time we're in town.

Pros: The space, The food, Dog friendly

Cons: That we don't live closer!

Finally!

Little green refills is a fantastic shop, we go there for a lot of our produce as it is ethically and locally sourced.
The cafe attached to the shop is outstanding. Wide variety of food choices available and they are all vegetarian and vegan! Food is made on site and all ingredients are locally sourced. The coffee is delicious too!

Remarkable refillery

Combining a refill, zero waste shop with a cafe, Little Green Refills ticks all my boxes.

The food is locally sourced whenever possible and predominantly vegan.

The staff are attentive and welcoming.

Lots of variety on the dining menu.

love it here

i’ve been here a couple times and it’s such a lovely cafe. the menu is really good with most things being vegan friendly. I had the garlic thyme mushrooms on toast last time and it was very good! my family had the chilli bowl and cheese kimchi toastie, as well as some pastries, which they really enjoyed. i’m looking forward to trying the vegan shakshuka and salad bowls too so will update my review when i have. the shop downstairs is fun to have a browse in too!

Pros: lovely food and menu, including gf options, refill/zero waste shop attached, such a nice interior

Cons: would be better if fully vegan 👀

We we’re grateful for this amazing find from HappyCow whilst heading by from South Wales back up to North Wales.

They also have a superb refill shop.

A great little find indeed. The staff were super kind, fun, helpful and accommodating.

Pros: Lots of vegan and GF options, Great choice of teas and cakes (sugar free), Friendly staff

The best in Aber

We've eaten here many times and have always had a good experience! The menu has obviously been put together by someone who understands veggie food and I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried. The (vegan option) kimcheese toastie shouldn't be missed.

The cafe is also very cosy and the staff are lovely.

Pros: Good vegan options, Tasty food, Friendly and warm venue

Stopped here for lunch and had the sauerkraut cheezy toastie and a lentil chilli. The shop was beautiful and staff very friendly. The food was delicious, especially the savoury Welshcake that came with the chilli. Bought a vegan scone to takeaway which was amazing!

Lovely cafe

UPATE 2024:
Still a good selection of vegan and veggie foods. They now have seating outside which is lovely on a warm day. I had the loaded hash i think it was called, hash browns, beans and vegan cheese, it was really good. My husband has the breakfast burrito which he liked. Over all a lovely meal, friendly staff.

Previous review:
Great selection of vegan food. Good quality too but is a bit pricey for what you get in my opinion.

Delicious and filling!

I had the shakshuka which substituted egg for vegan feta. It was delicious, couldn't fault it! Rich and creamy with a side of great toasted sourdough. Very hearty and set me up for the day.

Interior is funky and the shop downstairs is fun to browse post brunch. Would definitely return next time I'm in Abergavenny.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Clearly labelled vegan options

Delicious Green Breakfast

I had a Green Breakfast with extra beans and vegan cheese instead of eggs to make it vegan and it was just delicious and good portion size too. Would be nice to see scrambled tofu and vegan sausage to make it a full English breakfast.

I enjoyed my meal outside in the sun. There is lovely seating upstairs. The store has alot of refill options to reduce packaging.

Pros: Vegan options, Nice deco

Cons: Serves dairy and eggs, Need variety for vegan options

Amazing !

I can’t fault this place ! Really nice staff, the shop is so great and has lots of excellent buys. The cafe is such a nice atmosphere, so chilled out. The food I had in the cafe was delicious, I had the coronation chickpea bagel and my husband had the hummus toastie- both came with crisps and slaw. Really good quality well made food. The hot drinks are also amazing I had a rose latte ! I’m very impressed.

Wonderful options

Visited with three non-vegan friends and there was something for everyone. Very impressed at just how many things can be veganised and had one of the best almond vegan croissants I’ve tried.

Pros: Good range , Very tasty , Friendly, helpful staff

Excellent breakfast in a lovely atmosphere

I had an excellent plant-based sandwich for breakfast with a tremendous cup of coffee. It was a real treat to sit upstairs with sunlight bathing through the window and fantastic music playing in the background.

Great cake and coffee

A sustainability focussed business combining a cafe with a refill shop. Large variety of vegan cake. Between us we had sticky toffee, chocolate brownie, cardamom swirl, and banana&chocolate loaf. The sandwiches, bagels and toasties can all be made vegan and looked delicious.
We sat outside in the sun.

Pros: Vegan cake, Outside seating, Sustainability focussed

Fresh, local, proper food

Super café with seating outdoors so you can keep an eye on your bike. Some interesting options on the menu - "proper" food as opposed to fast food. They seem to focus on locally sourced ingredients. I had the ploughman's which includes four different cashew nut cheeses from Pip's and some excellent kimchi and sauerkraut. They also have a variety of vegan cakes, chocolates and sweets to treat yourself. Reasonable prices for very high quality food, and excellent friendly service.

Pros: Proper, fresh food, locally sourced, Indoor and outdoor seating, Loads of options

Back for a refill - soon!

I've used the shop at Little Green Refills a few times, and long thought I should try the café for lunch, so today seemed like as good a day as any: a fine Welsh spring day with black clouds forever looming. I wasn't particularly hungry and the asparagus soup appealed - I figured it would be just enough for a light lunch. I wasn't wrong. It came with some toasted sourdough (probably from the excellent but eye-wateringly expensive Angel bakery just down the road, by the taste of it), and it was simply delicious, creamy with a subtle hint of asparagus. It was so good that it was only when I'd finished that I realised I hadn't asked for pepper, or a glass of wine. I'll definitely be back (maybe they'll serve wine by then).

Incidentally, the shop sells all the usual things you'd expect in a refill store - pulses, pasta, cereals, spices, toiletries - but also some treats such as Moroccan marmalade (made in Talgarth, naturally), which is subtly spiced, and fava bean paste, which has a lovely umami flavour. both are utterly addictive, utterly irresistible.
