Where Are The Romans When You Need Them?

A former brick and mortar outfit turned delivery operation, the menu for this place had me salivating with anticipation, packed as it was with a multitude of highly promising sounding dishes. I was primed and ready to as effusive about my meal as I could possibly be, even turning the occasional blind-eye to minor flaws in order extol the virtues of such a worthy recipient. Unfortunately, even with the best will in world, there’s no way that I can gloss over the reality of my experience.
Augurs were not favourable from the off, as when I unfurled my first burger, the Buddha, the patty near enough disintegrated. Having salvaged what I could, I proceeded to have a distinctly mediocre sandwich.
Not looking to dwell too much on this rocky start, and hoping it was a blip rather than a benchmark, I forged on the second burger, the Bean Well. In this I found a modicum of hope as overall it was a good, structurally sound dish that boasted vastly improved flavour over its counterpart.
Buoyed by this slight upswing in fortunes, I turned to the cauliflower curry to maintain the upward trajectory of the meal, a task that it was woefully incapable of doing. Bland, watery and lacking in any discernible redeeming features, it served only to highlight a theme that was becoming abundantly clear throughout: a lack of seasoning. When the armies of the titular empire invade Carthage, they famously salted the earth, perhaps this kitchen could use a legionary, or two.
For some reason, despite all the evidence to the contrary, I had belief that the mac and cheese would somehow be the saviour of what had been a rather miserable endeavour. What foolish optimism. There’s no prizes for guessing what the first of its major faults was, but the second, perhaps more egregious flaw, was that the sauce didn’t read as cheese in slightest.
Furthermore, to add additional misery on to what was by now becoming a substantial heap, the desserts were also terribly disappointing. The bliss balls had peculiar flavours, the (thankfully tiny) peanut butter cookies were texturally all wrong, and the raw carrot cake managed to combine both these unfortunate qualities into one, unadulterated failure.
Far be it from me to fully comprehend the reasons as to why the decision was made to close up their physical location, but on this showing, I could begin to speculate.

Fair, expensive and small portions. Taste is Ok.

They have a few vegan options, enough for going a couple of times without repeating.

Pros: The taste and texture is Ok, could be improved, The restaurant itself is cozy and beautiful, Outdoor seating is a plus

Cons: Expensive , Small portions, Taste could improve

Good enough

We had dinner at this place and I love the ambiance, it was just a bit hard to spot. The menu was mostly vegan but food was okay and a little bit pricey.

Nice little find.

Staying at the jbr this was around a 30 min walk and was hidden behind some construction at this point. Loads of options, cute lil outside seating area. Great service. I ordered the miso tofu bowl. It was nice to have , it wasnt mind blowing in terms of flavours. But grateful I found a vegan place to eat in Dubai.

Pros: Lots of options

Cons: None

Amazing almost fully vegan cozy place in JLT

Our absolute favorite place for vegan food in JLT. The menu has many different options from vegan cheese to raw papaya rolls, buddha burgers and spaghetti with meatballs. Everything we have tried so far was super delicious. We'd probably say that the Mint Pea Soup and the Vegan Kibbeh (from the vegan iftar menu) as well as the Raw Carrot Cake are our favorites.
The staff is super friendly & knowledgeable about vegan food and it's one of these places where you want to stay all day long.

Pros: Amazing vegan options, Super friendly & vegan staff, Vegan desserts are delicious

Cons: Very cozy - sometimes better to book ahead

I go every week

As a vegan in Dubai there is few options to choose. Little earth is amazing!!! Practically the whole menu is vegan with exception of 2 or 3 dished
You can always find the owners around asking how is everything and having a chat with the costumers
Amazing experience
I go every week!!! This is where we celebrate our birthdays!! It feels like home

When you're here youre family and your family serves delish veggie food

So many good things to say about this hidden gym. Such a cozy cafe where it feels more like you're eating at a friends place rather than a restaurant. The owners are there making sure you feel welcome and offering suggestions. The food is great and full of love. They serve mostly vegan menu with a few options for your friends who might not be veggie but want to tag alone to chill and relax in good company surrounded by good vibes.

Pros: lots of vegan options, great prices, friendly staf
