Update: realised some dishes are hit or miss! The laziji(mala chicken) is amazing! Decent dishes, interesting variations but poor execution of all the dishes ordered.Lack of depth in the flavours, too much msg , very thirsty after meal. The crispy beehoon isn’t crispy and is too greasy. The yi-Mee is not mind blowing. The fish, full marks for Effort to self make but special sauce is lackluster and shallow. For this price I can get bette dishes elsewhere.

Made a trip to Lin Lin Veg Delight for their zhi char! They have been around for 30 years and i love the old school feel this stall exudes. Most dishes are vegan, while some contain dairy, just check with the friendly staff!

Ordered their Assam fish rice for one person. It is better to eat there in person than take away as there is more side dishes such as the crispy cracker and garnish which I really like. Love the fish as it is crispy. Will definitely come back to try other dishes after reading all the good reviews here!

I highly recommend the Butter series (tofu/prawn/... i forgot). But its a little greasy so for people who couldnt take v greasy food, just order the small portion and try! Its really nice😄Though its on the pricier side even though it is located at a coffee shop

Healthy Hokkien mee - Edit
Although it is a vegetarian stall, the Hokkien mee I ordered came without eggs (which was a pleasant thing for me cuz I'm trying to cut down on eggs/diary). Boy, it was one of the nicest Hokkien mee I had! It was not oily at all, had just the right amount of moisture and with decent amount of veggies😄plus it's located just across the road from bedok hub.

Their hor fun ($4) has a good amount of wok hei & had a gravy which was really really viscous due to the high starch content. It also had an assorted of gluten-based ‘duck’, 2 tiny, random pieces of asparagus, one shiitake mushroom, konnyaku-based ‘kidney’ and other mock meats (which I wasn’t a big fan of whoops; I personally prefer Dragon Gate’s & Tian En’s versions of gravy & mock meats). Remember to ask for no egg if you want this vegan!

Best Wok Hei Flavor in Bedok North - Edit
Undisputedly the BEST Wok Hei Flavour in Bedok North. You have got to try their Hor Fun. Die Die Must Try! Some other dishes that I would like to recommend would be their Assam Curry Rice and Pineapple Fried Rice. It is rather pricey as compared to one of their new competitor - New Vege though. This is quite near to Bedok Central, and you can literally cross one of the traffic lights located near to Bedok HeartBeat. Be sure to try their wide selection of vegetarian dishes when you are near Bedok :)

Our couchsurfing host suggested us this place as it is very close to his home. My boyfriend and I had Pineapple rice and 'Pork' in sweet and sour sauce and it was very yummy! We actually came back the same evening but it was already closed. We will try again tomorrow ;) Don't expect a fancy restaurant, it's a small local place selling cheap and good food :)
