Now offers vegan icing!! - Edit
Spoke with the owner here. She owned morning dove gluten free café which closed down March 2022. Morning dove had vegan cinnamon rolls with vegan icing and since it’s closed she now offers those here, so you are now able to request vegan icing. Regular and gluten free cinnamon roll base is vegan as is, you just have to request vegan icing to make it vegan. I believe the icing is just the store bough frosting because there were tubs of it stacked on the floor, but it was still decent icing nonetheless.
Read moreAs for the roll itself, the icing definitely helped, but unfortunately the cinnamon roll was pretty dry, hard around the edges and lacked flavor. Definitely not a nice, gooey cinnamon roll that I was expecting. It’s not terrible, but it’s not anywhere near worth the $7 it cost. You can definitely make something much better at home. I’m convinced this place is only open because it’s in a high tourist area.

Your average cinnamon roll - Edit
The only vegan cinnamon rolls are the non-frosted ones, and they taste okay, but they’re not amazing in any way, especially for the price they go for. I came here because I was craving cinnamon rolls, so I’m thankful that vegan ones were even offered.
Read moreA word of warning, though: if cross-contamination is a concern for you, go somewhere else. There were traces of the glaze on my roll and around the bowl handed to me.

Great cinnamon rolls a but bit pricey for the gluten free option. I had a Gluten Free cinnamon rolls with pecans toppings…..Fire!!!

Vegan cinnamon roll in touristy area - Edit
We were visiting the Cannery Row in Monterey and was not expected to find a place sells vegan cinnamon rolls. We were just walking along and saw a sign that vegan cinnamon rolls are available.
Read moreThe non frosted rolls are vegan. They have vegan frosting too but it was not available when we were there. I actually prefer non-frosted one. The bread was warm and soft.
