The whole place is a work of art, from the designs by local artists inside ready to buy to the gorgeous focaccia and pastries.
Read moreThe focaccia is their speciality - light, soft, a loose crumb, not too oily, and just delicious. There's a selection to choose from and you can't really go wrong!
The pastel de nata are incredible, easily besting all others I've tried, including non vegan ones! The creamy, sweet filling is held by a buttery crisp pastry and is absolute perfection!

Decadent, indulgent and delicious. Go here if you’re in Utrecht - but get there before 13:00! Everything goes so quickly! The pastel de natas disappear inside an hour of opening 😱

They offer the best focaccias I’ve tried. It’s better to heat them because they’re better then.
Read moreI especially like the ones with artichoke, sweet potato, mushrooms, pumpkin, mozzarella and eggplant. The Autunno, N’duja, Ciccia, pear, peach, Tre formaggi, Caponata and Olive focaccias are nice as well. They also have great regular and filled farinatas, made of chickpea flour.
A few of their pastries are tasty as well: pastel de nata, vanilla layer pie, carrot cake (the regular one, not the gluten-free version!), danishes, swirls, pain au chocolat, fig pie and apricot beignet.
Decent are their croissants, cheesecake (more sticky than creamy), apricot/berry pie and banoffee pie.
Their regular pastries are usually a lot tastier and more moist than their gluten-free ones.

I really should've tried savoury options! They looked amazing. They have fresh tarts and focaccia.
The cardamom swirl was soft, buttery flavourful and nothing like you've had before.
The matcha sadly tasted watery and boring itself (maybe I needed sugar...), but the foam on top was sooo good!! I loved spooning and mixing it in. The menu said raspberry but they only had plum - which was totally ok for me. You are also asked to choose between a paper cup or a hard plastic one, which you pay 1€ extra for and get back again as you return it! So sustainable!

I live in Utrecht and I always take everyone to Life's a Peach if we go for a relatively quick and delicious lunch. I have loved all their focaccias so far, as well as their homemade lemonade.

Read moreWe had a special focaccia with aubergine,capers and sauce and the Peach one. both super delicious. Also we had the Danish pastry, also amazing.
We definitely recommend this place, it might be good to visit early, it is so good that it goes sold out!

We visited Life's a Peach whilst on holiday in the Netherlands and it ended up being one of our top food spots from the whole trip. We had a couple of foccacia to share which were really tasty and full of flavour. The matcha looked amazing and tasted just as good and the sweet pastries were also lovely!

Read moreIt was pretty crowded on a sunday around noon (they warned us about that on their website though) but after 5 minutes waiting we got ourselves a seat.
Ordered the pistachio foccacia and croissant and a pastel de nata. Everything was just so good. The pistachio cream in the croissant, so delicious. The 'cheese' on the foccacia, just everything. They warm it up before they serve it to you.
The other pastries looked delicious as well...

The pastel de nata was pricey for its small size, but excellent: buttery and flaky pastry with a delicious and thick custard cream. They had two types of danish pastries too but they were burnt on top...

We had 3 slices, which were all cold and oily (even tough I was asked and cleary answered that we want them hot), Taste was not more than okay. Also had the homemade pistaccio croissant, which was also okay, but the cream was not evenly distributed at all. All in all pretty disappointing.

Life is a Peach offers delicious focaccias and sweet pastries such as pastel de nata, croissants, and cakes, all 100% vegan. The focaccia dough is soft on the inside with a nice crispy crust. The Danish and almond croissants are tasty and not too sweet. The coffee also tastes great. It’s nice that there is now more seating available, but it fills up quickly. So, it’s smart to make a reservation or just take something to go. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Good selection of breads, pizza, and drinks including homemade lemonade. Seems to sell out of most items in the early afternoon, so stop by early if you can.
