The best cheeseboard I’ve ever had - Edit
I came here to celebrate my first vegan anniversary. I was most impressed with the cocktails and the cheese board. The cheese board came with a variety of nuts, fruits, and olives and was probably the best cheese board I’ve ever had. They have a house made patty and a beyond burger patty to choose from when you order a burger, and I chose the house made patty. It was very soft, mostly tasteless, and just tasted like beans. I wish I’d gone with the beyond patty instead, but everything else was excellent, and they have much more than burgers on their menu.

We seated ourselves and waited at least fifteen minutes before a server passed by and asked if we’d been helped, to which we replied that’s we hadn’t. He then walked away to find someone to take our drink orders. It just seemed chaotic and poorly organized, and the price of the dinner seemed very high for the quality of food and service. Getting the bill and ordering second drinks was more difficult than it should have been.

Prices are rather high and the portions are small. Their fried artichokes are FANTASTIC but only offered on the happy hour menu, unless you order them on a sandwich or salad. This is a shame, because they are the star of the menu! If you’re looking for a better value here, try their cheese plate. It’s a great price for the amount of food you get and I was full after splitting it with another person. The rest of the menu is good and worth the occasional splurge. Their cocktails are on the sweeter side, which isn’t really my thing, so I usually stick with classic cocktails here. Service is hit and miss.

Gorgeous space. Greet vegan food. Perfect place for a date nite. But the service wasn't great. It was busy when I went but it took 10 mins just to be greeted after sitting down. As of January 2020, this restaurant has been open seven months. The place operates as if it were a long-established business. Service is excellent, food is delicious, and the spaces within the overall space are well thought out. The savory pot pie was topped with a pumpkin biscuit, and the broth was loaded with an array of fresh veggies. The basic burger was a reliable, traditional offering.

Amazing, sexy spot in the heart of Seattle. Super welcoming staff, solid beer selection, and food that’s out of this world. Read moreI was a bit disappointed in the vegan/vegetarian food menu though. Don’t get me wrong - it’s good if you want fried, carby, bar food. I just wish Seattle had Vegan options that have fresh, healthy ingredients with veggies in them - not just meat substitutes. Life on Mars tries to pull off 3 things at once, music, drinks, and food which is hard and very admirable.
The impossible burger was good, as were the cauliflower wings but the side of broccoli wasn’t the best (try Black Bottle’s blasted broccoli) and a thumbs down on the BLT. My other friend liked the waffle sandwich but we all felt sluggish afterwards.
I think the owners are both Vegan and really have a chance to make this a great bar and a great Vegan destination, too. They have a little way to go here, but the place is really new and w/a few tweaks, could really shine.

This is a bar that serves food. I wouldn’t call it a restaurant. It’s all vegan, but the menu is small and limited. The Caesar’s salad with blackened soy curls was worth the trip. The burger was good, as well.

I'll be honest that I've run a lot of bars and clubs, but rests. are a different animal. I've run a couple of them and been very successful but they were much smaller concepts than this.
