A wonderful experience - Edit
We had miso soup as starters and the sushi boat. Both were amazing and chef was very kind. The boat was MASSIVE and included tempura as well!! Make sure to come here super hungry, as the boat had so much sushi for the price point (only 44e).

Fun boat but not fully vegan - Edit
The sushi boat was very fun and something vegans usually don't get to experience. The sushi was also pretty good. However, they serve the sushi boat with half of a giant clam shell on it, and put the food on top. Such large in-tact shells are rarely found just washed up on a beach after the animal has died and are usually acquired by clam fishers killing an animal that has grown large over several years or decades, or grown in fisheries. However it was obtained, serving vegan food on an animal body part isn't in the spirit of vegan / anti-animal exploitation. I think if they need something to put under the tempura they should use a boat with a raised navigation area, or pile on more rice sheets or greens.

One of the best vegan Japanese food I've had! Loved the miso soup, the shiitake starter and the sushi boat! Non-vegan friends were also super impressed!
Read moreFriendly staff but the only con is that we were a table with 7 people and 2 soups were served way before the other starters, meaning we waited until our friends also got their food so we could eat together. The kitchen staff could improve coordination in this regard.

Legumi sushi è un piccolo ristorante con una cucina curata, gustosa e studiata. Abbiamo provato tanti piatti perché non riuscivamo a smettere di mangiare, ogni piatto ha un sapore equilibrato, particolare e spesso sorprendente. Ci hanno servito e consigliato in maniera eccellente e ci hanno fatto sentire come se fossimo clienti abituali. Piatti da sogno...davvero il miglior sushi vegano mai assaggiato!

We were too late to stay in for dinner but brought a big sushi selection home (chef‘s selection). So we sadly couldn‘t see the famous sushi boat, but it was still absolutely worth it. We got a big selection of very special sushi pieces and beloved classics. Be aware that the online menu doesn‘t show all options that they have.

We ordered the 24 count boat, and I felt like a child again seeing the food on moats in San Francisco. It was beyond exciting and of course, DELICIOUS.
I can't even pinpoint a flavor to discuss here, every roll was unique and great in it's own right. The tempura was also a huge standout!
Our server was extremely kind and when we were there without other patrons, she put the air on us.
That's definitely the only drawback, is when it's hot outside - it's boiling inside. Totally worth it though for some incredible sushi.

Read moreIn this location we had one of the best experiences. The place is small and cozy. The waiter and owner were super nice and inviting. We tried the “Big Boat” which had all the unique roles and non shrimp and vegetable “calamari“. The first time we went it was closed and we were lucky to be able to go on another occasion. We recommend that you call to make sure it is open before you go just in case. We will definitely be back !

We shared the 24 items menu with the two of us because we saw others struggling with the quantity. That was enough: we got a starter and more than 24 sushi of various kinds. They were all amazing. The cook is very creative in creating tastes that sometimes resembled the structure of normal fishy ingredients. I also had the Japanese green tea, which is great. Everything is looking great. The restaurant (and alley towards it) looks small and does not represent the quality.

Not just your typical vegetable maki! Had the Gyosas, shiitakes, and 3 rolls. All were incredibly well balanced and perfectly constructed. California, futomaki, and rice paper rolls come well recommended! Also, the restaurant is in a great quite little part of Lisbon off the main.

I wanted to try out a good Japanese restaurant in Lisbon and I came across Legumi Sushi Vegan, whose location included some of Lisbon's most typical and delightful alleyways.
Read moreI immediately tried out the "tasting menu" where all the starters are served and a dish boat with all the specialties on their menu.
These include miso soup, wakame sala, edamame, gyosas and shiitake.
The rolls are as original as they are varied, with smoked tofu maki, vegetable salmon, kimchi, vegetable crab, strawberries...
The hearty presentation in a flat boat kept my hunger at bay. I just couldn't face the desserts!
The service was attentive to the customer's needs.
In short, it was a very pleasant moment to taste everything at Legumi Sushi Vegan!
