Perfect fine dining experience - Edit
This is a great recommendation for the perfect fine dining experience. Their menu is excellent and so well presented. They have a great selection of drinks that go well with the food as well.

Amazing vegan fine dining - Edit
Having eaten at Michelin vegan restaurants all over Europe, this meal was up there with the best of them! Menu was well balanced and interesting at every turn with beautiful presentation and flawless service. Compared to what we are used to paying for fine dining in Western Europe this felt like a steal, will definitely be back when next in town!

The 2nd vegan fine dining in Seoul! - Edit
I visited quite while ago in the summer time in 2023. It changes menu seasonally. The dishes I had back that time, i wished it had more warm dishes even though it was summer. Some had too strong flavoring. I will definitely visit again to taste new course menu in the sooner future.

Amazing vegan fine dining - Edit
I am so glad I learned about Legume in my last day in Seoul. I made a last minute reservation and had an amazing 10 course vegan meal. I have eat fine dining around the world and Legume was definitely among the very best. The courses are small but bursting in flavor. And there are so many courses that you will be full at the end. I ended up adding one of the optional courses as I wanted to try more of their good stuff. Their pistachio basil icecream was probably the best dessert I ever had. If you are in Seoul, definitely make a reservation here, irrespective of whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or an omnivore.

An unreal splurge - Edit
I think this meal cost what everything else I’ve eaten in Seoul cost combined, so it is definitely a huge splurge… but it was also a truly amazing, unreal dining experience. The dinner menu was 8 dinner courses and two desserts, with two optional courses (a seasonal fried veggie “cutlet” and a truffle-hazelnut sorbet the night I was there). The portions for each course are tiny, which is good, because you will still leave super full. But because the meal is so fresh and light you won’t feel sick from so much indulgence, even if you add the five wine pairing, which I did. For two people with all the add-ons and the wine, the bill was around $300 USD. I don’t usually spend this much on a single meal, but this felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity so I’m glad I jumped on it.
Read moreEverything was incredible and creative. The menu lists the vegetable that is showcased for each course (ex: mung bean, mushroom, eggplant, strawberry, pistachio, etc) and the chef explains the preparation for each item. The space is tiny and it’s an open kitchen so you can see everything being prepared (especially if you sit at the bar). The meal took us about 2.5 hours to finish.
I would list my favorite dishes but the menu rotates based on what is in season and available, so it’s unlikely you will eat the same thing. What’s more is you can’t choose, so it doesn’t matter.
It is definitely a huge splurge but it was a great experience and a really fun time. If you have a special occasion to celebrate and are in Seoul, I can’t recommend it enough. I will remember it for a long time.

Pretty and delicious - Edit
After reading so many good reviews, I've decided to visit this spot with a couple of friends during lunchtime. Reservation via catchtable app was painless although the refundable 60G-won per person did give me a bit of shock.
Read moreDishes were immediately prepared once we were seated. The timing of each course was adequate and each dish was good for the eyes and the palate. All in all it was a very gratifying visit.

Needs refinement - Edit
This new place is off to a good start, showing lots of promise, but there's a lot more room to grow, especially in enhancing the menu design and the dishes' flavor complexity. Currently, it's really just scratching the surface of what it could be.
Read moreThe menu, spanning 10 courses, suffered from a lack of diversity, with bread making an uninspired appearance in several dishes like "bread and potato soup," and "paprika stuffed with bread." Unfortunately, the quality of the bread did little to elevate these repetitions.
Furthermore, the offered "add-ons" seem more like last-minute additions than thoughtfully curated enhancements. A notable example was the "aralia sprout cutlet," a dish that promised uniqueness with its seasonal ingredient but ended up being unimaginatively deep-fried.
The dessert section felt particularly unbalanced, featuring an excessive three courses of ice cream, including a grapefruit sorbet and a hojicha ice cream, with an additional truffle & hazelnut sorbet upsell that only contributed to the redundancy.
Overall, there's potential here, but the biggest letdown is the menu design. I'd recommend skipping the extras for now and wait for a more refined experience. I will definitely give it another try next time I’m in town.

Refined plant-based and sustainable dining - Edit
Légume is Seoul's latest high-end vegan restaurant. To dine here, you have to make a reservation via the app CatchTable. Lunch and dinner are each served as a multi-course meal. Lunch currently costs 69.000 KRW, dinner costs 99.000 KRW. Drinks in the form of a wine pairing or non-alcohol drink beverages can be ordered for a surcharge.
Read moreWe got the Christmas special here, which consisted of 11 courses and included a wine pairing. (The prize was 200.000 KRW per person and totally worth it for me.)
Each course was beautiful, flavorful and delightful. I loved the play with textures, colors and aromas.
Food was served quickly and as soon as we had finished each course. Regardless, we spent more than 2 hours in the restaurant just to finish the entire meal.
Staff is professional and pleasant. The atmosphere is calm and bright.
Legume is located on the 2nd floor of a mall-like building housing several fine dining restaurants, and businesses. The restaurant itself is rather small, it fits only two tables and seating at a bar, from which you can watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. The restrooms are outside across the hallway.
Pros: Taste good, Quality of food and service, refined dining experience

Top notch - Edit
Wow, this was a highlight of our visit! The restaurant is very small so you must make reservations before going (there are 2 tables and some countertop seating). There wasn't a bad course - it was all so creative and flavorful. Considering the care that went into the menu and every dish, it was well worth the price. We added the few extra courses and dinner lasted 3.5 hours which was really pleasant (and we left so full!)

I went to quite a few high-end restaurants in my lifetime, both in France and abroad and this is the best course I've ever had.

Absolutely amazing high-end vegan - Edit
Légume was superb! Run by a chef who formerly ran a 2-star Michelin restaurant, this place has the air of high-end eating. Set menus, optional wine accompaniment, and multiple courses—it’s well thought-out, intentional, and absolutely delicious. The reservation cite wasn’t working for me without a Korean phone number, but they were really communicative on their Instagram direct messaging (I also emailed but didn’t hear back). The food was so so good and it made me even happier knowing it was all plant-based. Although the fare wasn’t *exactly* Korean, it was really inspired by uniquely Korean ingredients. Anyone who thinks vegan can’t be yummy needs to come to this place. Can’t say enough about it!

Michelin-quality vegan food in Seoul - Edit
The first thing to say about Legume is that this is not a cheap restaurant. Especially if you include a wne pairing and additional courses offered. The second thing to say is that, IMHO, it is absolutely worth the money you pay. The food is fabulous and the service exemplary. My partner and I went on a Satuday evening and enjoyed a great meal and left with smiles on our faces. The restaurant is small (probably only around 20 covers) and located in a small shopping mall near Sinsa metro. I would recommend you make a reservation.

Delicious and top quality food - Edit
One of the best vegan restaurants I've tried, food is delicious. There is a team of 6 people preparing a set menue. The leader chef used to work in a 2 michelin star restaurant. The cuisine has a strong french influence which I enjoy. 89k won or 68 usd for the entire set, it is rather cheap when considering the quality of the food and the service.
