Perhaps our expectations were too high, because of all the raving reviews, but we were really underwhelmed with the food. We got the seitan stew with gratin potatoes, and a large salad. The seitan texture was really good, but lacked taste, just as the potatoes. We were not alone in this. Everyone around us was asking the staff for salt and pepper to add to their food. Some vegetables would have been nice though. The salad was uninspiring.

The interior was okay but average.
Would not really recommend, there are a lot better choices to eat during your holiday in Paris.

Well worth making a reservation - Edit
We made a reservation a few weeks ahead of visiting and were not disappointed. Soup de l’oignon, seitan bourguignon and crème brûlée were all delicious. Super friendly staff who were very helpful with making recommendations.

I finally found vegan French onion soup - Edit
Wonderful lunch today, besides making it myself I have not had French onion soup in a restaurant since becoming vegan. I can now mark that off the bucket list, very friendly and patient staff, our friend is horrible, and their English was pretty good. I would recommend this restaurant, good energy in here.

The French onion soup was great, the seitan bourguignon was my favourite dish - the seitan “beef” was very juicy, but unfortunately I didn’t love the seitan roast and pepper sauce. The roast was quite dry, the sauce wasn’t very balanced and there wasn’t quite enough of it. The potatoes came out cold.
