Real French cuisine - Edit
If you want to taste real traditional French dishes but in vegan style, you have to pay a lot of money. The price here is high, but the size of the dishes is actually big and everything is delicious. If you want to have a dinner here, be sure to reserve a table in advance.

Disapointing - Edit
Yes, there is a lot of people, but no, it's not so good! It's just a vegan restaurant which tries to imitate french gastronomy with similis. It's not very tasty and quite expensive with 17-18 EUR for a main course.

nice little restaurant - Edit
Small vegan restaurant, french dishes, the staff was very nice and helpful; I had a great onion soup as a starter, can highly recommend the soup, the main course (bourgignon) wasn't the best vegan dish I've ever had but still very OK, for desert we had apricot-crème brulé which was good. Not the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to but still worth a visit.

Okay - Edit
I was a bit disappointed.
Read moreThe place is really popular so you absolutely need to reserve a table. We were sitting outside in the cold because we forgot.
The soup was pretty good and the creme brulee too. The main dishes were okay but nothing special. I had the spinach lasagna and my boyfriend had the seitan red wine stew. For me it was too expensive.
The staff is really nice and the place is pretty central.
Pros: Lots of veganized French food
Cons: Very expensive

Very disappointed, don't be fooled - Edit
I really don't want to leave a negative review. However my girlfriend and I had read how great this place was, so we rang a day ahead to book a table.
Read moreAfter waiting all day (in which we read a lot of positive reviews of le Potager), we got to our reservation time.
We took, starters, main courses and a dessert.
The French onion soup was the highlight of the trip, the cheese inside it was very good.
The baked potato with olivada was not very impressive at all. It felt like a poorly cooked baked potato simply with some olivada on it. It is described as this in the menu, however we expected something more from the flavour.
Main courses we took the lasagna.
Very bland.
Spinach seemed to be from a frozen packet before being made into the lasagne.
The lasagne wasn't heated all the way through. We couldn't finish it. Very disappointing.
The seitan bourgogne was a little better. The gravy had some interesting flavours, however the seitan in it was very bland. It was fine, but was no where near worth its price.
Then we were Really looking forward to the creme brulee. We ordered one to Share.
It simply was some flavoured tofu. Was very lemony, and the texture was very firm. Not worth ordering.
After waiting so long for the experience, we both left disappointed. The place was expensive. Flavours were uneventful. General quality was below average. If we made some of these dishes to serve at home we would not be so happy with the outcome....
The staff were really lovely
Pros: French onion soup, The staff, very lovely
Cons: Expensive , Limited tables, need to book

Dinner at @lapotagerdumarais
Read moreFrench onion soup with vegan cheese was very tasty and the hot cheese salad featured vegan goat cheese on French baguette. The salad had carrots, walnuts, tomato, sun dried tomatoes, cucumbers and a delicious dressing. Main was Bourguignon de Seitan, seitan stew in a red wine sauce with carrots and mushrooms. I opted for the French potatoes. Dessert was an upside down apple tart with whipped cream. Definitely need a reservation as they filled up at 7pm immediately upon opening and turned away multiple couples. Told us in advance that with the 7pm seating we had to leave at 8:30 which was fair although they opened about 10 minutes late so they didn't rush us out. If you want to sit longer get an 8:30pm reservation.

Really disappointing - Edit
The food is not good. We have been extremely fooled by all the positive comments. I went there on my birthday in order to celebrate. The food was terrible from main dish to dessert. We do not understand the success of this place : not good, crowded and expensive. Do not recommend.

Le Potager du Marais is a cozy restaurant where you can easily bring your family and non-vegans. They have many traditional French meals - made vegan - and super delicious! I love their vegan Boeuf Bourguignon, and their desserts are incredible. Great location and super friendly staff.

Vegan French food ❤️ - Edit
We celebrated a very special trip here, and it was made all the more special by the truly wonderful staff. We reserved a table by phone the day before, and would recommend doing so as it is clearly a very popular place with locals and visitors alike. We had a three course meal. My favourite was the pate plate which was incredible! The seitan stew was in a delicious, very rich sauce and an incredibly convincing take on beef bourguignon. We also had some lovely champagne! Lovely spot for a special occasion.

TERRIBLE SERVICE - Edit
Visiting France for the past 5 days we have had nothing but great experiences. Being vegan for the past 1.5 years we love and appreciate all vegan friendly restaurants. We made a reservation with Le Potager and we’re told on the phone that we had a time frame reserved of 730-9pm.
Read moreWe arrived at 7:50pm to the Restaurant and we’re told to leave that we could not be seated. The guy turned us away and told us we could not sit.
WE MADE A RESERVATION for 7:30-9PM!!! Not to mention there were 2 open tables there until 9pm!!!
Maybe discrimination towards us? Not sure.
Terrible service and people here. Not acceptable.
Will never come back here nor reccomend.
Pros: Good menu
Cons: Rude , Terrible service and attitude

Classic french cuisine - Edit
The food was really good, and they managed to give a wonderful twist to classic french cuisine. Both the mains and desserts were a hit. The house wine was good too. The only think i would say, is that the space is a bit cramped.
