Seven years late… - Edit
I just found my photos of the meal I had here in November 2015! It was amazing, and Paris was not yet the vegan Mecca it has become.

Popped in for lunch with my partner. The decor and environment was pleasant. Lots of vegan versions of popular french foods. We really liked the French onion soup and mushroom pate.

Love it - Edit
This was our second time dining at Le Potager Du Marais and we absolutely love this place. The vegan traditional French cuisine is incredible. We have loved everything we have tried. The service and atmosphere are also great.

Great Authentic French Cuisine Made Vegan - Edit
This venue was very lively when we arrived. We were presented with menus and the specials of the day as well. Staff spoke French and English. We both started off with the French Onion Soup, because....well.. it's Paris. The "cheese" had an amazing scent and flavor. The soup tasted authentic, however a tad bit salty. We ordered the "boeuf bourguignon" which was very good, although we would have liked a bit more "red wine" depth to the dish. I ordered the Cassoulet aux noisettes. It was a bit dry for my taste, and I probably wouldn't order it again. Desserts were amazing. The apricot creme brulee hit the spot and the almond flour chocolate cake was sweet and dense.

OMG the chevre chaud! - Edit
I love vegan cheese and was blown away by the "hot cheese salad." Definitely get a reservation if you're going on a weekend. The person who answered the phone spoke English, so don't be afraid to call

Vegan French Food - Edit
When I go abroad I like to try and eat local cuisine but that can be difficult in France so this restaurant was a great find. Traditional French cuisine made vegan. Food was great and the service was good and super quick as well.

Disappointing - Edit
I was really looking forward to going here, but overall, it was a disappointing experience. The food was nice, average, but not exceptional and the presentation of the food left a lot to be desired... It's very expensive for the quality of the food and service. The Breathe restaurants (both of them) have similar prices, but offer an exceptional dining experience, in terms of food, staff, presentation, taste and attention to detail. Potager du Marais has a lot of catching up to do ..

Lovely, unique vegan restaurant. - Edit
We ate an amazing onion soup with a fantastic cheese substitute and an amazing dessert - unfortunately my seitan main course - was completely tasteless and I would not order it again - on the other hand, my partner's lasagna was great :)

Delicious - Edit
It’s been a while since I visited, but I still think about the French onion soup I had here. We did a bike tour on a morning in April and it was a bit chilly. This was the perfect lunch that day. Hope to make it back to Paris soon! I’d definitely eat here again.

Excellent french vegan food - Edit
So, so good… vegan interpretations on classic french dishes. We had french onion soup, mushroom pate and baked potato with tapenade to start and then the most amazing mushroom cassoulet for main. They have natural regional wines too. All delicious, nothing lacking in flavour or texture. Such a treat to be able to dine French style whilst in Paris.

Je ne recommande vraiment pas ce restaurant.

French cuisine but quite average - Edit
We had dinner there with friends. We all thought it was okay but with no WAOUW effect.
Read moreIt's interesting to see how French cuisine is veganized and I could appreciate the effort from a French perspective but globally they were not the best vegan dishes I had in Paris.
That would not be in my list of first recommandations to friends, especially since this is quite expensive.

Solid, but nothing special - Edit
French cuisine in vegan. Food was ok, nothing special. It seemed it wasn’t fresh, just re-heated in their microwave. My girlfriend wasn’t excited either.
