No Pain, All Gain - Edit
As I’ve avowed on this platform more than once, whenever I am in the vicinity of one of these restaurants - no matter where in the world I might be - I am duty-bound to seek it out and purchase at least a croissant. Well, with this one, I got considerably more than I bargained for.
Read moreFirst thing of note, there was no plain croissant in sight. However, in lieu of the regular crescent-shaped offering, there was instead one flavoured with hibiscus. This twist on the classic was a more than welcome surprise and thanks to its sweet, sticky nature, it might actually have been an improvement. Unfortunately for my bank balance, and for my waistline, this wasn’t the only as-before-unseen offering, and I couldn’t resist sampling them all.
Next up was a brace of muffins. The fruity, moist breakfast variety was by far the superior of its slightly cloying, but still enjoyable chocolate counterpart.
Further still down the pastry rabbit hole that I had fallen into came the crowning find of this visit: the cinnamon swirl. Gloriously sticky, outrageously flaky, and heady with its namesake spice, it was pure pleasure to consume.
Just when I thought I was safe, one last glance in the window enabled me to spy a treat that had somehow escaped the initial onslaught: a hazelnut raisin flute. Needless to say, I had to try it, and I’m so glad that I did. Far more dense in consistency than any of the previous morsels, it still had a levity to it that made it far too easily consumable.
I’m not going to say that this was a cheap outing, especially when I had to rather ungracefully pile these wonderful creations into my face whilst sat on a bench on an exceedingly busy high street, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t do it again.

Vegan options - Edit
Very busy on Sundays. They have some vegan options which are clearly marked. The portions are kind of small but the food is good!
