Tasty but pricey with limited options - Edit
Like other users have said, this place is pricey and the vegan options are limited, but they are reliably good. The staff is lovely and the decor cute. There was a 3% charge for paying with a credit card.
Read moreHere’s the full breakdown of our meal: (ratings out of 5⭐️, from highest to lowest)
- Red Hot smoothie: 5⭐️
- Rice with vegetables: 4.5⭐️ (None of the mains below came with rice, so we ordered 1 of these to share amongst 3 people to go with our mains. It turned out to be the dish we liked best and there was enough for all of us.)
- Ginger Tempeh with mixed vegetables: 4⭐️ (The tempeh was good and well-seasoned; it wasn’t bitter, but it seemed to have a spongy, egg-like substance inside, unlike any other tempeh I’ve tried. Just an observation as the dish was listed as plant-based.)
- Eggplant and tofu: 3.5⭐️
- Açaí smoothie: 3⭐️ (good base, but too tart and not sweet at all)
This wasn’t our first choice, but unfortunately our first choice closed early for medical reasons as we arrived. This was the next highly-rated location close by. Overall, given more time, I would have tried a number of other, more reasonably-priced locations before coming here.

Small portions but phenomenal taste - Edit
Depending on your price range this might not be your everyday restaurant (price, portion size etc.) but the food really has been great every time I was there. They have a limited menu, but you probably can't go wrong with any of the dishes taste-wise. Outside sitting area is nice - so is staff. Café doesn't allow working on laptops.

Good idea, needs improvement - Edit
Health Shop/Cafe/Restaurant open at 10am and closes at 8pm every day, KITCHEN CLOSES AT 7pm.
Read moreSells a lot of health products like shampoo, home cleaning products, sunscreen and toothpaste as well as dry foods like tea, powders, rice, goji berries cacao nibs.
They have a cafe/juice/smoothie bar at the front of the store that also has raw cakes/balls/cookies most are vegan and gluten free. At the back of the store is a restaurant with seating near the entrance or through the back door where you sit outdoors under their roof.
Staff is hit or miss, one employee spoke decent English and explained some items on the menu. But when making my order with the lady, she was completely lost and not very helpful with menu she was not service oriented and spoke very poor English.
Purchased some vegan raw balls and the lady at the Cafe was not very helpful when I asked which ones were gluten free and vegan, as not all of them were. So I asked her again and she just said out loud but unfortunately there were barely any signs marking the names of the balls like she was mentioning so I had to ask her to come and point at them so I can make a purchase to give her business and my money. She was annoyed and not friendly.
Ate at the restaurant and portions are quite small for the price, ordered 2x Baked Rice & Veggies and while the food tasted great there weren't many "veggies" but peas and small diced carrots and green onion..
Great concept and lovely seating area and shop but the execution needs some work and the food needs to be explained better or serve more food per portion

Double whammy - Edit
This place not only is a very good cafe but also a damn good shop. Very close to Holland and Barrett in the UK but more independent. We came here twice just to have the raw cookie dough, which is next level. Helpful friendly staff would definitely recommend.

Healthy - Edit
This place was a little out of the centre of Lamai but was 100% worth the walk, just be sure to stick to the main roads as some of them are a little strange. The first time we visited there was a few shoes outside which we found very strange so proceeded inside and as we entered we were asked to remove our shoes. When we returned to the door to remove our shoes we then noticed the smallest sign on the door asking us to remove our shoes. The staff were friendly and welcoming and spoke good English.
Read moreWe headed for the back of the shop where the café part of this place was situated. I found the food amazing and full of flavour however my wife wasn’t so keen on it. The baked rice dish was big but the mushroom dish was quite small. We ate inside then went outside to enjoy desert. The garden to the rear of the shop is really nice however it was very warm compared to the air conditioned inside. The deserts in this place were delicious and everything is labelled up clearly to identify what were vegan and which were not.
The smoothies in this place were one of the best i had whilst in Thailand.
I would advise on the snickers as those were great!
If you are in Lamai I would advise on a visit to this place and the food is delicious the staff are friendly and the prices are not too expensive but slightly higher than you can pay elsewhere.

Good variety - Edit
This shop carries a lot of different vegan and generel health supplements and also clothes. You'll be amazed of the variety.
Read moreThe staff seems to be a bit snooty or rather conservative.
Inside of the shop is also a small eatery and a bakery. The bakery offers very yummy (raw) vegan desserts.

Haven't tried any meals there, looks a bit pricey though - there's a lot of food supplements and powders and other things to buy there, most or all of it double and triple packaged in plastic - you get a 5Baht discount at the cafe if you bring your own containers for takeout

Unusual selection, worth a look - Edit
Lamphu Health Café is a welcome addition to the natural living scene on Samui. They offer a broad range of natural/organic products in their shop — from food (including both Thai and international items) to health and beauty products. One of the main attractions for us was the dessert case, which includes a few vegan desserts, some of which are raw (but also some non-vegan, so do ask).
Read moreThere's also a small café serving juices and a few food items, but unfortunately the café serves meat so we did not eat there.
Good English is spoken and credit cards are accepted (800 baht minimum).
