I have only ever seen a similar place in Cork, Ireland, but this was so much better than the one there. I was happy to see this, even if in a very meat-heavy marketplace. There are both unique finds and comforts you are used to. I wish I could have bought more!

stopped by and was very excited by the choice in such a small corner! picked up some cured ham (this was really good and seemed like a great imitation to me) and chorizo (this was genuinely the best vegan chorizo I have ever tasted), would have loved to have picked up more but unfortunately didn’t have the space (they have the whole deli counter as well as freezer full of items to pick out, and a full fridge too! i could have easily bought everything there). the person serving me was friendly, and also very patient with my bad-at-best spanish. i was also just really excited by the concept of going to a vegan butcher/deli counter in a market- quite a novel experience! very much recommend stopping by.

Great variety of vegan meats and cheese. The cream spread and the pimento cheese were especially delicious. Unfortunately they aren’t always open when the rest of the market is.

Having eaten jamón ibérico y serrano in Spain previously, I can saw the flavors are spot on. The chorizo I sampled was tasty and fatty as I wanted. I wish I could have tasted all the cheeses that were available. There was even vegan mince or ground “meat” available.

It's nice to have vegan options in local supermarkets and La Veganeria has a little of everything. They have a section of frozen mock meats they sell in bulk and they also have some in-house made products like pinchos.

A full vegan store mercat de Santa Caterina. They have cold meats, sausages, burgers, cheeses… You can buy in bulk, fresh or frozen. The selection is nice and the prices are fair.
