We bumped into this place as it is attached to Wicho and Charlie’s, the company we did the Acatenango hike with. We chose Acatenango as the food provided is plant based so once we got over the surprise of La Bruja also being a plant based restaurant, we were just happy to not have to walk far for lunch. We both ordered pasta dishes, one a rich ravioli and one a creamy pea spaghetti. Both were phenomenal and hit that spot for a good creamy pasta. We also had a green and cacao smoothie and I’ve got to say that green smoothie definitely helped me in my goal of enjoying a green smoothie/juice. If only, all green smoothies were like this one 😅 They provided complimentary vegetable soup and had the cutest rescue dogs! 10 out of 10 recommend supporting this business.

La Bruja was an excellent place to get healthy, tasty & fresh vegan food. They offer coffee, smoothies, açaí bowl & savory items as well, such as nuggets, pizza & burgers. Make sure you scan the menu to see the entire menu because you see only the smoothies, coffee & bowls when you immediately walk in so that’s all I thought I was able to get. Only after I ate my oats bowl did I see the savory items so I bought the nuggets. Everything was great! The frappe, afternoon oats & nuggets. I normally hate bbq sauce but their bbq sauce was incredible! Definitely wish I was able to eat here another time before my trip ended! Highly recommend!

I wish I had space for a dessert but had a vegan pizza which is DIY with choice of TWO CHEESES and SO MANY vegan proteins. 100/10, I was delighted. I came on two occasions and had a build your own pizza and tried both the cashew and tofu cheese. You also get to choose a dipping sauce. They ask if you are veggie or vegan when you order.

What a great find in a small town that actually has 3 vegan restaurants. We chose La Bruja based on proximity to our hotel, and we were glad we did. We had a late breakfast here as well as dinner, plus we ordered food for lunch the next day! All the dishes were extremely fresh, and most were very flavorful (the fried plantains weren't high on the flavor profile, but that is their nature). The physical space is spotless, bright and airy. The staff is friendly and efficient. So why the 'almost'? We tried two varieties of their sushi, and neither one was outstanding. Something about the rice tasted a little off, but this was a very small minus on an overall very positive experience. Highly recommended!

Going before the dinner rush was my experience as I walked right in and immediately got a table. Ordered the Antigua Burger with fries. Food came out quick. Staff was fantastic, coming around multiple times to see if I needed anything. In a country where meat is so heavily marketed, La Bruja is a hidden gem!

I liked that the menu provides options to customize your meals - you can build your own pizza or burger. If you've been traveling for a bit and craving some comfort food it's a good spot to stop in. I had a pizza and some medicinal tea, the pizza comes loaded with veggies and toppings of your choice, it was tasty. The crust/dough wasn't spectacular, pretty soft and thin but the rest was great. My pizza came with a funny tiny side salad - see picture. You can pay with card and it's a quiet spot you could hang out at for a while.
