happy with a vegan version of their speciality Shiro Noir

It is so great that a vegan version of Komeda's speciality Shiro Noir - danish topped with soft ice cream and syrup (880 yen) - is available anytime now
If you order coffee (650 yen), you can choose "soy cream" "plain soy milk" or "without"
It's a work-friendly cafe with free wi-fi and power sockets, so it should also be a good place for tourists in the Ginza/Tsukiji area to rest their feet and charge their phones

Excellent Menu

This is a great place to go to if you want to have vegan versions of Japanese cafe food. Long opening hours, extensive menu options for both food and drinks, and everything is really delicious. You order electronically and can easily make customizations. I have tried almost everything on the menu, and I have not been disappointed by a single dish. The drinks are a little pricy, but still very delicious.

Delicious, nice atmosphere

I’ll definitely return here for the cozy vibes and great food. I had a green smoothie and the wasabi tartar chickn burger with fries. All cooked perfectly. I only regret not getting iced cocoa because I saw it arrive at the table next to me and it looked so good. But, as I said, I’ll be back, so I’ll get it next time! Order on the tablet at your table and have a nice meal!

Pros: All vegan, Cozy and chill atmosphere , Delicious

Cons: A little pricey

Great interior and menu

Had dinner in the place together with a friend, they had a good number of menu to choose from and all plant-based with options to make it full vegan.
It was in a great location as well and ambiance was good for having a nice conversation with people while enjoying delicious food.

Pros: Lots of options, Accessible location, Customizable menu

Cons: Tokyo pricing so quite expensive, Some items are not full vegan so have to check

It's maybe the only vegan place in Tokyo that opens so early?

Good place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch and snacks.
My sweet tooth side liked mostly the drinks with whipped cream on top.

Interesting concept and pretty place, but expensive

Regular Komeda's Coffee is a bit pricey compared to other chains as well, so I guess it could have been taken for granted.

Not many low-carb/tofu options, but I guess people who actively try to avoid soy will appreciate that. I was suprised that the ice cream is made from almond, and it's actually very creamy.

My macros were super tight this day, so I only had the (beautiful!) grain salad without dressing, but I'd like to go back soon to try one of the burgers.

One of the ladies told me off because I tried to move the plastic screen to one side of the table (no space for the dishes) 😭

Pros: Cool to try vegan options of Komeda's dishes, Pretty and very green

Cons: Expensive, Tiny table, Not many healthy options

One of the best vegan cafes in Tokyo

(English follows Japanese)

2種類のサンドイッチを食べましたが、どちらもめちゃくちゃ美味しかったです。落ち着いた雰囲気なので昼は作業をするのにも適していますし、夜はワインを飲むのもいいと思いました。また来ます。

I had two kinds of sandwiches, both of which were insanely delicious. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a good place to work with laptop during the day and drink wine in the evening. I will come back again.

Lovely cafe! So perfect

I went here many times and the food is really good. The staff is kinda kind and fast.
I love the concept , it’s a really well decorated cafe and they play jazz.. so it’s very relaxing!

I recommend the vegan ham cutlets and the chocolate cake.

They have tablets at every table so you can choose your food without rushing. It’s really easy to use.

My favorite are the vegan ham cutlets and vegan hamburger avocado. The oat milk coffe with cream is really good but expensive! I wish they can open in the future in Ikebukuro o shibuya because the position is not really good ://

Take out is possible (not for everything plate)

I was very impressed by Komeda Is. The vibe is laid back and relaxing. There are tons of options to choose from on the menu. Wifi and outlets are readily available to get some work done. All told, a charming experience and I wish I lived in Tokyo so I could hang out here more often!

Pros: Lots of vegan options., Laid back, relaxed vibe., Great place to get some work done!

Cons: Some items are a little pricey.

Great ideas, quick service

I went a couple of times, the service was always quick and seamless.
The food is junk food mainly, yes - but you get what you choose. For Junk food it is nicely made and good quality, the portions are good and the taste is great.

Pros: Many options, Quick service

Great cafe! Nice food, layout, and amenities

Really nice place to come for a day to work! WiFi, outlets, comfy private booths and good food make this a place I’ll definitely come back to. My only gripe: The sandwiches have three layers of bread, so not enough other fillings for me. But the burger was HUGE! And they were tasty and made with fresh veggies. Good friendly service, and iPad menus that you can put in Japanese English Chinese or Korean. Great place! Coffee is nothing special, but nice enough. Prices is a about 1,300 for a burger with fries and coffee around 600, but this is ginza after all!

Great to stay focused or chill with friends

KOMEDA is a famous coffee chain from Nagoya and they recently opened plant-based one in Ginza.
The interior design is as comfortable as their original ones but this one got perfect individual spaces (probably with electrical outlets) which suits perfectly for remote working.
The food is also tasty, The portion is as big as what normal KOMEDAs have and the menu reflects Nagoya specialty (such as miso flavour for hamburger and free toast for a morning drink), which makes this place more unique.
My recommendations are coffee jerry and Miso cheese hamburger (the cheese is so real) and my friend liked their matcha pancakes!

Food is served super quickly and the service is good too. Very nice place for staying focused with your self, also chatting/relaxing with friends

Pros: Free toast if you order drink before 11am, Big food for cheap price! , Very relaxing environment

Super convenient but lacking in taste

It's so great to have a family restaurant type of thing being fully vegan. Japanese people ought to love it!

Taste though... I mean, it wasn't bad. But that's the nicest thing I can say about it. I tried a salad and a burger. The salad was ok - how hard can it be, right? I was expecting quite a lot from the burger because being advertised as 'Wasabi burger', but it was really meh.

My two friends seem to have been a bit luckier, but then again, they're two very polite Japanese ladies. So unless it was terrible, I don't think they would have said anything negative. And they sure didn't say much about the food, so...

You won't have a bad experience I think, going to Komeda IS. But leave your taste expectations at the door.

Pros: Finally a family type vegan restaurant!, Convenient location, Great service

Cons: Taste is subpar

Well worth a visit

Komeda Is is an all-new, all-vegan version of the Komeda brand of coffeehouses and cafes. We had high expectations, but it didn’t let us down!

Located a quick walk from Higashi-Ginza station, Komeda Is features nature-inspired decor and a completely vegan menu, focusing heavily on sandwiches and sweets.

We tried the miso cheeseburger and the wasabi tartar burger to start. I wasn’t hugely impressed by the burger— while the meat and cheese were good, I wasn’t a fan of the miso ketchup. The fish burger was VERY good though! Crispy and with a nice fishy taste thanks to a slice of nori. The fries were fine.

There were so many options we had trouble choosing what to get for dessert, but we both went for the coffee jelly, and were rewarded handsomely. This was a generous portion of jelly and whipped cream, with a banana at the bottom. YUM!!

We had a great meal here and will definitely be back!

Pros: Great food , Reasonably priced , Beautiful decor

Cons: Maybe more variety would be nice
