Super Asian bowls all vegan - Edit
The ‘chicken’ pad Thai was great with a huge variety of veg like broccoli, carrot, cabbage, courgette, mushroom, pepper etc. It was so much and I struggled to finish it. I got their vegan chicken which was ok but I’d go for tofu next time instead I think. I want to try all their dishes some day. It’s cool that they have photos of all their dishes to help you choose and a detailed description.

Great Pad Thai - Edit
I had the "Chicken" Pad Thai to go. SO good. Added Nando's spicy sauce and it was even better (they offer sriracha at the pick-up). I definitely would love to try some other dishes because they all look so flavorful. It was not very busy for lunch and I loved the quirky decoration that they had.

One of those brilliant finds on HappyCow. Love the vibe, love the food. I had the High Grade bowl - veggies, tofu, smoky sweet and sour bbq sauce, and superfood hemp crumble. Hallelujah! Delicious. I shall be back.

Very nice - Edit
Very good food and a nice restaurant. But it was a pity that only disposable tableware was available in the restaurant. If I'm in London again, I'd still love to come back.

Delicious and Quick - Edit
My partner was keen to find this restaurant when we were staying in Bethnall Green. I cannot praise enough, it's street food so don't go if you are looking for opulence. Fully vegan, friendly, big feed, delicious and a good price tag. Highly recommend 👌

Amazing! - Edit
2024: new location, same tasty food! They no longer do the sticky rice as far as I could see but the main dishes looked similar to before and were very good, particularly the pad Thai.
Read more2020 review: I’ve walked past before and they used to do about 6 dishes on a menu, but now you choose your veg/protein, sauce and grain/noodles and they make it fresh for you. I had the pad Thai and it was delicious. I wish I’d had room for pudding as they did sticky rice!!

Tasty Southeast Asian food - Edit
Great range of different dishes. I had the Laos larb which isn’t a hugely common dish so to have a vegan version was pretty amazing!
Read moreThere have been a few comments that it’s a bit pricey - yes £14 feels expensive for a lunch dish but the portions were big, it was so filling and the food tasted great! It’s not easy to find independent places selling tasty vegan food that’s not the same old vegan burger so I think it’s definitely worth it
Oh and the person working there was super friendly!
Pros: Lots of different options, Big portions, Friendly service

One of London’s best - Edit
Delicious food with a varied menu. I personally prefer the tofu to the ‘chicken’ but both are nice. Only downside is it’s now £15ish bowl so can’t be recommended as ‘cheap eats’ but imo it’s worth the price & the portions are generous. You’ll leave happy & full!

Glad to have them back! - Edit
I first visited when they were in Box Park so I'm glad to hear of their return to this area on Hanbury Street. I enjoyed their Japanika bowl which I don't think was on their previous menu. Lovely katsu on delicious noodles! A little pricey but lots of fresh veg and happy to support a 100% vegan independent business

Tasty, but pricey - Edit
If you're after quick, healthy vegan food in East London , Cook daily is a great shout. Most dishes are rice based and boast a great combination of flavours. The dragon boat is an awesome little side dish, too.
Read moreThe only complaint is that at £14-15 a dish, you're paying a premium for what is essentially just a rice bowl. It's a shame, as if these dishes were £11 it'd be a much easier recommendation.

Triumphant return - Edit
I'm surely one of many who are excited about this comeback. The menu is pretty similar to previous incarnations if somewhat pricier but it's a prime location.
Read moreThe Lao bowl has a winning peppery chilli heat and packs a flavour punch. The Pad Thai is milder but no less delicious with perfectly al dente veggies and noodles. There's Sriracha on the tables.
The quality old-school hip-hop playlist remains but at a much lower volume. Although it's small there's a decent amount of seating.
Card payment is available.

absolutely great - Edit
The staff was very friendly and the ambiance was chic. Lots of healthy options to choose from. Waiting time between 5-10 minutes, which is perfectly fine. For me 4 stars because it's a bit pricey and I didn't like the dish I ordered that much (KCD Pad Thai 7.5/10), but I will definitely try something else when I encounter King CookDaily again another time.

Good flavours, kinda spenny - Edit
For a bowl of just veg and rice, I paid £14. The upside is that the flavours were authentically Thai & everything tasted fresh and high quality. Will probs visit again if I'm ever in the area.

Captures the culture of the alternative London vegan scene. - Edit
You won't find another place like this in London from the grafitti filled walls to the sound of UK music playing through the speakers this is the London! Although predominantly Asian inspired, the Cookdaily menu is a fusion of cultures and flavours that represent urban London. Items on the menu include chicken & mushroom pie, pad thai and my favourite the Caribbean inspired jerk bowl to name just a few. Not many people could pull this off but the owner King is a master at culinary cooking having been an international chef and worked in Michelin star restaurants. He's brought it right back to the roots here and birthed what I believe is a shift in culture to vegan food especially for those who come from ethnic backgrounds where food is bursting with flavours and spices. I have travelled to 45 countries and eaten hundreds of vegan meals from different places but this is my number one. It's a must try if you are in the UK.

Impressive - Edit
I'm not gonna say this is 'the best vegan restaurant in London' because I haven't been to them all. In fact, I've only been to a few. But I WILL say, I absolutely love this place! It's local so that's convenient. It delivers via Uber Eats, so on lazy days, THAT'S convenient too.
Read moreThe decor of the restaurant is cool. It has a fun, modern, trendy vibe. The staff are happy and friendly. There was UK grime music playing in the background on the few occasions that I visited which made a nice touch.
The menu is written all around the walls which is pretty unique, and there's an excellent variety of vegan dishes to keep anyone happy. You can be seated inside or outside. You can even take your meal away and the London Fields park is just around the corner, with Victoria Park not far away either.
Most importantly though, are the dishes themselves. Decent portions. My personal favourite is the 'High Grade', largely for novelty reasons but it tastes great too. I love that you can add or remove extra veggies, chickpeas, plantain, tofu and/or 'chickn' for practically any meal.
It's not cheap here but it's not too bad either. You'll eat and drink and leave perfectly satisfied for around £10-£15 per head.
I'm certain that once you visit this spot, or even have your food delivered to you, you'll be eager to come/order again!
Pros: Good tasty food, Fun and friendly vibe, Uber Eats deliveries
Cons: Not cheap (but not overly expensive either)
