unreal! - Edit
this place is so good! prices you’d except from this kind of vegan cafe, but well worth it and not too expensive. tried the steak, the francesinha, the poke bowl, the katsu sandwich, and the tofu nuggets, all so delicious but the francesinha and fake egg took the crown for us! not to mention the pastel de nata that we reordered because the first was too good.

The best Portuguese food made vegan! - Edit
The Kind Kitchen had a robust menu of vegan delicacies! We tried a traditional Pastel de Nata and Franchesinhas and they did not disappoint! We went back another day to try more menu options.

Must eat in Porto - Edit
Just after arriving in Porto we went to eat here and it was honestly great. We shared the mushroom tacos as a starter and I had the udon noodles with an amazing vegan egg on top which was the best "egg" I have ever had! The pastel de nata we had wasnt the best ever, but the pistachio tiramissu was godly.

Wonderful flavours, would've wanted bigger portions - Edit
The menu is international-inspired and has something for everyone. We were really impressed with the aubergine labneh dish as well as the tofu katsu sandwich, although both were a tad on the small-side. Ended the meal with pasteis de Nata, which were delicious!

Absolutely delicious 5 STARS - Edit
I found this lovely little gem here on Happy Cow during my layover as an air hostess in Porto.
Read moreI’ve had the salmon poke bowl, and what should I say? It was truly delicious, the salmon was a crispy and tender tofu salmon, the creamy sauce was so nice, and it was all really great and tasty. Staff was attentive and friendly and spoke well English. I will definitely come back. My mocktail was great too 🍹😌🙏
Pros: The food!, The staff!, The cute little place run by passionate vegans
Cons: Nothing I disliked

Busy but nice! - Edit
We tried francesinha and chimichurri steak! Our first experience of Francesinha was nice! The “egg” was very good and realistic, I recommend! The steak was little too salty for my taste and chewy, but chimichurri sauce was great along with very delicious pataoes and coleslaw! Also took a brownie with ice cream - it was warm and with peanut taste and very delicious with ice cream!

I wanted to love it - Edit
I wanted to love this place but couldn't. I'm giving Kind a generous 3 stars to be kind and because it's fully vegan and I always want to support fully vegan establishments. But Kind need to try harder on the flavour profile of the food that they serve. I had the worst vegan shawarma of my life here. Shawarma should be warm with full flavoured bounce and a bit of heat. The 'shawarma' that Kind served was nothing like a shawarma at all! It was absent of any flavour at all except for the awful oil that they poured lavishly all over the dish (why??). All I could eat was the flatbread and left the rest behind.

Perfect vegan eatery - Edit
I can't praise this place enough! The flavours were incredible. I had a katsu sandwich which surpassed all other sandwiches I have ever had! And the curry, wow! A wonderful gluten free option. The cheesecake and tiramasu were also out-of-this world delicious 😋

A highlight of vegan food from my stay in Porto! I loved being able to try a vegan version of a local meal (Francesinha), and the peanut brownie with ice cream was simply to die for 🤤

One of a kind. - Edit
If I didn't know that the Francesinha was vegan, I would have had to ask the staff twice just to make sure. Add their plant based fried egg alternative, it's mind blowing. Very kind and friendly staff, nice location, great variety of dishes. Pastel de Nata are delicious af.

Great starter, bad main dish - Edit
Great atmosphere. The starters, the shrimp taco and the tofu cubes, were great, but the main dish, the francesinha, was very unpleasant and even seemed possibly spoiled, as we left with stomach aches
