Tasty ice cream and mochi

The guy behind the counter claimed everything was vegan, so we ordered an ice-cream and some strawberry mochi. All the mochi we've had in the UK has been vegan so I trusted the guy. When I pointed my Google Translate at the ingredients list on the mochi box it translated one of the ingredients as "milk" so I went back and questioned this to the guy. There was a bit of communication difficulties as my Vietnamese is non-existent but he was adamant that it was all plant-based and was unequivocal about this (we were both using Google Translate).

The ice cream definitely tasted more coconuty than dairy so I believe the guy (why would he lie!) and think it was all just a case of Google Translate translating coconut milk as just "milk", but I just thought I'd let people know that I'm still not sure.

They really were tasty though so give it a go - especially if your Vietnamese is good so you can double-confirm that it's all vegan!
