Home style Indian food - Edit
We happened upon Kaur’s pretty much by accident. They are located in a strip mall that is easy to drive past. Inside, the restaurant is unassuming and has limited seating (3 tables with 4 seats at each). The menu is vegetarian with vegan and vegan options marked. There were several items I have not eaten before so we decided on matar mushrooms (mushrooms and peas), bindi masala (okra), and a side of rice. We would have loved to try the baigan bharta, one of my favourite Indian dishes, but it was early in the day so the eggplant dish was not available yet. It is definitely on my list for next time! We ordered medium spice level, which was perfect. Spicy, but not enough to kill your tastebuds. The food was very good and came across as homemade, which I don’t mean in a bad way. Not like it was made by a pretentious chef, but made with care by someone’s grandmother. One thing that stood out was that it was not extremely oily like some Indian food I’ve had in the past. We will definitely go again to explore the menu further.
