Our bowls (Rainbow Bowl & Tiger Bowl) and also the dessert were very tasty. In addition, the menu is 100% vegan and you don't have to worry when ordering and you know that you will only be served vegan food on your plate. The atmosphere is also very pleasant and of course I was very happy to play with the cats there. The Katzentempel is not cheap, but the price/performance ratio is still good and the staff were friendly and served our food quickly.

My sandwich was really tasty and my dessert too! Just my hubby didn't like much his plate (was a little bit bland for him, but also not bad). The place is very nice! Staff was not so motivated... Cats were away sleeping, sadly lol. Too much ice in my drink, so almost nothing to drink for a big price. Ordered extra dumplings, that were expensive and bland. But still recommend this place. The paw lolly dessert is really amazing, don't skip it!

Ich war zum Abendessen dort und hatte die heiße Schokolade, Bahn Miau Sandwich und den Mohn-Käsekuchen. Alles sehr lecker, vor allem die Nachspeise. Nicht besonders billig, aber Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt, weil das Ambiente und Konzept ja einzigartig sind, und das Essen von sehr guter Qualität ist. Sehr freundliches Personal, ausgezeichneter Service!!

Loved this spot, the cats made a cute addition. Had the summer special ‘tunah’ sandwich - was the most tuna tasting none tuna I’ve ever tasted! Our fave stop in Germany/Austria so far! Yummm 😋 also great service!

Schon oft habe ich den Katzentempel in einer anderen Stadt besucht aber München ist besonders. Hier gibt es viel mehr Plätze. Wir haben nur einen Eiskaffee getrunken. Dieser wurde sehr schnell gebracht. Das Essen ist aber auch sehr zu empfehlen.

The cats were not really a catch for me, but they don't disturb such as dogs would either. The food is delicious but nothing too special. The service is very friendly if a bit slow, but people who come to caress cats are probably not in a hurry.

We loved this place! It was our first “cat” dining experience, and was so fun. The food is informal, so perhaps better for breakfast and lunch than dinner. My only suggestion would be to add some dishes without processed vegan meat and cheese (such as tofu, beans or lentils) - they did not have an option.

My favorite combination. Animals and food. But not animal food do you get me 🤣 nice cozy place. When cats wants, they come to you by themselfs. No bringing them to you by stuff or etc. Thats what I like. Cats have a lots of shelfes on walls, lots of places to hide and lots of toys.

Every time I have a weekend in Munich, I try to go here for breakfast. They have great food, not just breakfast, and cats (obviously).

Read moreFirst of all: What really strikes me is, that they do not enforce their own rules which serve the wellbeing of the cats. I know the workers are busy and all but missbehaving people should really get approached. There were kids chasing and sometimes even beating (wtf) the cats, parents picking up sleeping cats & carrying them around and it took other costumers to say sth because the workers would not intervene.
In Katzentempel Cologne they are strict about the rules. They explain them to you as you enter and people who disturb the cats are kindly reminded not to every time! That is what I expect of an ethical cat cafe and otherwise I do not wanna support it.
Regarding the food: great menu and I recommend the caramel choc latte!
Compared to other Katzentempels the food tastes a bit less fresh and the portions are sometimes smaller or items are not available. But all in all it‘s a recommendation.
The staff was always very welcoming and friendly. In general the atmosphere is very cozy.

First of all, if I could decide by myself, I won't give any star to this place. The service was inexistant (we had to go to fetch our cutlery by ourselves...), the staff was not concerned and doesn't care about letting people wait soooooo long for the food. We only ordered 2 sandwiches, not any plates which need the oven... and they arrived at least 45 minutes after (if I made them by myself, I think I would already eat them and finish to wash my dishes yet) ... We had to ask about our order, since they really didn't care, it seems that they forgot us?! A table next to our got its order before us, and it was not a smaller order, quite the same. No apologies, no consideration, not any good service. I think it's the WORST service I had in a restaurant. It's a shame to have so bad customer service.

In French: service très très très très très lent. Attente d'au moins 45 minutes pour 2 sandwiches. Nous avons dû leur rappeler que nous attendons toujours notre commande mais aucune excuse ou considération, rien. Foutage de gueule... Une table à côté, arrivée après nous, a même été servie avant nous. C'était pas exceptionnel et service inexistant, nous avons dû aller chercher nos couverts par nous-mêmes vu qu'ils ne nous ont même pas amenés ce qu'il fallait...
Je ne recommande pas cet endroit à qui que ce soit, sauf si vous avez du temps (beaucoup...) à perdre, énormément de patience, et si vous aimez être traités comme de la m...
Ici j'ai mis une étoile pour pouvoir mettre mon avis, mais cela vaut carrément 0 étoile. Le pire service que nous avons eu dans un restaurant. Il n'en vaut vraiment pas la peine, c'est vraiment une imposture.

We ordered a breakfast including croissant but they were out of it so we got two carrot cakes with no extra fees. We tried other things as well and everything was amazing. One bad point is that they were really slow and we got something we didn’t order but they handled it the best way so I still give it a maximum score. And the cats are really cute and playful

I waited for 40 minutes for my sandwich... and the place wasn't even busy 😅 In the end somehow the bread was toasted, but cold, so it tasted a bit weird.. the sauce seemed to be just mayo ketchup :/

We went here for breakfast and again for lunch. Had an amazing sandwich (peanut butter and red cabbage) and also the breakfast plate was nice. If you're lucky, you can also see the cats playing.

Read moreThere are some cute cats living there and walking around, but most of them were sleeping somewhere. I liked that they focus on sustainability, so they choose fairtrade coffee and they take care of where their products come from.
