Prachtige plek als je wat uitgebreider en fancier wilt dineren. Menukaart wisselt regelmatig. Enkel mogelijk om 5 gangen menu van de chef te eten dus laat je vooral verassen door de prachtige en heerlijke gerechten!

I discovered this place through the Vegan Food Tour and decided to go back to try their 5-course chef's menu. It was perfectly paired with different drinks for each dish, and I was positively surprised by how much effort they had put into the non-alcoholic options. Usually, the non-alcoholic drinks don't go well with the dishes, but at Kasvio everything was so well-planned.

Many vegan restaurants try to make eating vegan food as easy as possible. They go for strong, easy taste and instant gratification. No wonder that the Vegan Junkfood Bar opens new locations almost every month. And no wonder that the Vegan Sushi Bar opened it second location only months after opening the first. And rightfully so, because they do a great job.

Most regular fine dining restaurants do offer vegan options, but it’s clearly not their specialism. Kasvio on the other hand is a specialized vegan haute cuisine restaurant that elevates vegan fine dining to a whole new level!
The menu depends on whatever vegetables are in season, because everything is harvested locally (either in their own back yard or in a nearby garden). During our visit a 5 course winter menu was served. Every single course was tasty, beautifully presented and highly original. Chefs from several countries work in the kitchen and they each contribute to unique flavors so that every course brings a different skill and a different thrill. What to think of rehydrated beetroot with fermented beetroot and lemon-mustard ice? Or burned (!) green cabbage with black rice and home made tempeh? These unusual combinations enrich and complement each other for truly unique flavors.
To top it all of the restaurant is stylish, easy to reach (if by car) and the waitresses are as passionate about the food as the chefs are. Because we had a birthday in our group, one of the desserts came with a little candle! Such an eye for detail really made our evening into the memorable event that only a superb restaurant can offer.
According to a famous song it may not easy being green, but our visit shows that Kasvio absolutely masters it.

This restaurant is located in an amazing location and the interior design is absolutely stunning. The menu cart is very interesting, with very original dishes that you don’t find elsewhere. They have a lot of house made ingredients, also a delicious house made kombucha (please try the kombucha caipiroska - extra yummy). I’m not giving 5 stars because the food was good but honestly I was not impressed. The description of the place and the impression I had from the website made me dream about very special food, but at the end I feel I missed something, the food just miss some layers of flavor. I would definitely come back in the future to try new dishes if the menu will change.

Het eten is erg lekker, iedere keer weer een verassing met nieuwe smaken die ik niet kende. De zwarte bonen temphe is geweldig. Ga hier Heen!

This place is amazing! The food is great and very clearly prepared with a lot of attention and love. Tons of flavor and pretty large portions. We had sandwiches and rosemary-chocolate cookies and I can't even say which was my favorite.

Last but not least: really friendly staff! They were super helpful, and went out of their way to help us have a good time.

This restaurant just opened in the Metaal Kathedraal and is fully vegan. I had their carasau lasagna with fennel and soy feta (delicious!), the vegan cheese platter and the cardamom cinnamon roll all as take away. Can’t wait to visit the restaurant when the lockdown is lifted.
