Just go here - Edit
This was a 5/5. Honestly I can’t really even begin to describe how good the food here is. So many well reputed restaurants have no idea how to cook sensational vegetables… and to bring out the flavours of plant based foods. Kasto gets it all completely RIGHT. The texture. The flavours. The balance. It was perfection. Even If I was in Bali on the other side of the island…. I’d still try and make the journey to eat at this place. It is up there with one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. For meat eaters who are new to plant based meals and aren’t sure what to try: the ravioli and the chicken fingers are a great place to start.

Deliziosa: 13/10 would recommend - Edit
We loved this restaurant.
Read moreThe pizza (magic mushroom), pear and walnut salad and polenta sticks were 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
We found the sage and butter ravioli too oily and salty for our taste.
It was very quiet when we went. Staff were friendly and very attentive.
Pros: Loved the pizza, Great service and good bartender, Fresh food
Cons: Veg community needs to get behind this place!

Really nice Italian restaurant with excellent food. Portions were on the smaller side so you may want to share a few plates.

A bit sad experience - Edit
I was literally the only person for dinner time here, the staff seemed a bit uninterested and joked around among themselves. The Ravioli was extremely oily but delicious! Unfortunately their parmigiana dish was overly salty. Definitely one of the weakest vegan spots I been to so far in Bali.

A fully vegan Italian in the heart of Canggu! - Edit
It was so nice to be able to eat vegan Italian dishes that are usually super hard to find in any other restaurants like creamy ravioli, arancini & notella pizza for dessert.
Read moreThey also have great weekly deals like pizza feasts and pasta deal days.
Only downside is that it’s quite pricey compared to other places on Canggu - But still worth it!

Great food but the interior should be brighter and more inviting - Edit
At first this place did not look inviting. I came during the day and the restaurant uses a lot of black colouring and seems dark inside. I was also the only one there. I ordered the spinach and tofu ravioli and it was really delicious. I ordered the full size ravioli and it only had six pieces. Other reviewers are right that the price to serving size ratio is high here, but based on this one ravioli I had, I thought it was worth it. Unfortunately I did not have a chance to try other items on the menu, so I am judging the restaurant based on only one dish. Hopefully I visit this place again to try all the other dishes.

Nice vegan Italian restaurant - Edit
We were excited to hear about the vegan Italian restaurant in Canggu and while we understood some might be underwhelmed after the raving reviews we really liked it. The sharing concept is a nice one in hot weather and the pizzas were very good, but the friendliness of the staff was the number one

Expected alot better. Very dissapointed - Edit
Based on other reviews, i thought this place would be a winner. Excited to have some Vegan Italian as a change, whilst in Bali.
Read moreThe place is in a pretty random spot and need to taxi to it, if staying mybthe beach.
The ambience was quite nice and service was friendly.
However, the food was lack-lustre and very overpriced for what you got.
We tried the Cod style fritters. This ended up being a white sauce in batter, that had zero flavour. Also some arranchini balls, that seemed to have that same sauce it in. Very boring. Then we tried a half portion of the Alfredo pasta. Literally the tiniest portion of pasta I have ever had. Also, was bland and over-salted.
Finally we tried the pizza. The only good thing was the dough, which was quite good. The rest of the pizza had no seasoning, or garlic. Just a bland sauce and a few minimal toppings.
With 2 drinks and the food items, it was 900k. Ridiculous price for portion size and quality. We were the only people in there the whole time we dined.
Maybe it was an off night, but I certainly didn't see the appeal at all.

I think they have updated and changed since this review last year. The menu we had tonight was different (they have a new chef), well priced, well balanced and incredibly delicious

I had high hopes and was not disappointed - Edit
It has been a long time since I have eaten certain items in the menu, so I could not wait to have them again.
Read moreWithout realising, there was a deal on panini’s, the bread was incredible as was the rest of the ingredients.
Good vegan cheese and would highly recommend. Beware though, the arancini comes with mayo all over the plate and this is not mentioned on the menu.

Food was amazing - Edit
Amazing food! Portions to share, which is a nice concept. We ordered a bit too much (we thought we ordered less food and that we would do a second round) as it was hard to predict how much to order (one dish was listed as a small plate and ended up big for us)

Great vegan Italian food! - Edit
We tried the ravioli in pesto and the arancini as well as the gnocchi. Everything was great and though the gnocchi was not to our liking we left feeling satisfied with our meal. The prices are pretty reasonable as well (well on par with other restaurants of similar nature)

Tasty Italian - Edit
It's always surprising how often it is to be vegan at Italian restaurants, Kasto shows that this shouldn't be the case.
Read moreWe were warned the lasagne could take 20 min so we grabbed the balsamic edamame not realising they also provided some free crispy puffs; both were good accompaniments to some predinner drinks. Unfortunately the bintang wasn't quite cold enough, but the negroni was very good.
For mains we had the lasagne, panzanella salad, and the ravioli with sage&butter. The lasagna was soft and creamy and very nice. The ravioli had quite a thick pasta, and some of the corners were still a little chewy, but still quite a nice dish. The panzanella added the right amount of freshness and acidity.
We washed it down with a Dark&Stormy cocktail, which was also very good!
Pros: good Italian offerings, best cocktails so far

Delicious authentic Italian food. We had the mushroom pizza and the semolina gnocchi (burnt butter sage) both were delicious and then we came back later for Tiramisu, which was pretty good.

Delicious Italian - Edit
After being in Gili Air and having tasteless food this is exactly what we needed. The food here at Kasto literally brought us back to life. Their flavors and textures were absolutely amazing. The meatballs were a perfect texture and so delicious. The Scallopini was perfectly lemony and the mashed potatoes were so fresh. I wish we had more time here to go back!

Soo tasty! - Edit
We dined here for dinner. We ordered the arancini, spinach ravioli with pesto sauce and the diavola pizza. They then let us know that they do buy 1 get 1 free on the pizza (it was a Wednesday) so we also ordered the Rossa. The food was all made in house and all so delicious. We ate it all which was way too much! My favourite was the rossa pizza. The space was really warm but had a very cute interior.
