Fancy Fucha Ryouri

The restaurant serves Fucha Ryouri on the temple grounds. Meals ranging from 10.000¥ to 20.000¥ (drinks not included). It is expensive but worth experiencing once.
The food is present beautifully, everything tastes and looks different and they serve interesting things like 'eel' made from tofu and vegetables or 'chestnut' made prom sweet potato and somen.
The service feels distanced but they get more relaxed if you talk to them a bit.
Explanations of the course are printed in English.

Pros: Presentation , Taste

Best vegan meal in Kyoto we had

Kangaan is famous for Kyoto kaiseki Fucha cuisine. It is visited from all over the country as a temple where you can enjoy refined cuisine while looking at the fantastic garden. This experience set the tone for our whole trip. We were lucky enough to get Reservations here our first day in Japan I would have loved to have gone back. Honestly, I would’ve paid twice what they charged us.
