Vegan stand in the food court area of Living World Mall, which sells katsu made from tofu with different sauces such as black pepper, curry, teriyaki, padang, and more. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-10:00pm.
Let down, ok for mall courtyard if you’re in a bind - Edit
I have never had Katsu before however, I like a great deal of other Japanese dishes and food.
I was remarkably unimpressed, I have listed what we had and our thoughts on each dish below.
Creamy mushroom katsu: bland but fine
Bbq katsu: too sweet
Fried Chili Katsu: best of all 3 katsu dishes, still only average
Ocean fries:interesting
Spicy fries: good but just spice thrown in fire
Corn covered fries: not good
Ordered 3 dishes, some fries, took them 40 min to make it, no customers before or after us. Kind person making it, but there is no way this is how long it usually takes.
If you are dying of hunger in the mall, it is at very least a vegan option.
However, I would never recommend anyone travel here simply to eat this food.
Enjoyable bowls of Japanese katsu made from soft but chewy tofu coated in sauce of your choice, on top of steamed rice. I tried carbonara and creamy mushroom, it’s good.
