Jian Kang Vegetarian Food - my favourite stall in Upper Boon Keng Market and Food Centre, offering economy beehoon set and daily specials. Each item of the daily specials are stated on paper, adopting the flip chart concept. Once item is sold out, the paper will be flipped to the back, and what’s left are the available ones.

we ordered Laksa and Meesoto w more veges at 8.40 sgd! These are yumny and cheap! Shop is Jian Kang Vegetarian Food, #01‐82 at Bendemeer Food Centre and Mkt. P.s. they doesn't seems to open on Sunday and only open during morning to noon ish timing

Delicious Local Delights at Boon Keng! - Edit
One of my favourite go to place when I’m around Boon Keng area. In fact, there are quite a few vegetarian eateries near to Boon Leng MRT. My recommendation would be Laksa, Kway Chap and Mee Rebus! They also have quite a fair bit of regulars ordering from them so be warned that there might be long queues during peak hours. Laksa is always sold out pretty fast, so you got to be early if you want to try it! They also sell other local food fare such Prawn Noodles, Mee Siam and Mee Soto at the same time.

Be prepared to queue – but it’s well worth the wai - Edit
Simply love the vegetarian duck rice and vegetarian chicken rice ($3) at this stall located very near to Boon Keng MRT, the Hawker Centre.
Read moreThere is always a long queue for the chicken rice, be prepared to wait. You will never be disappointed, as what you will get is warm crispy deep-fried mock chicken (made from beancurd skin) fresh out from the wok. Hot food always taste better.
They make additional effort to present the chicken rice beautifully and also with fresh ingredient - the cucumber is crunchy and fresh. The vegetarian chicken chilli taste good too and it also comes with a small bowl of soup.
The vegetarian duck rice – I just love the tasty rice with the special sauce on it, which I haven’t find it selling anywhere. The soup is kway chap soup, tasty.
I still haven’t figure out which day of the week, they will serve chicken or duck rice. Their Vegetarian Mee Soto and Vegetarian Mee Rebus are delicious as well.
