Delicious Ethiopian food

I’ve never had Ethiopian food before, so I was really excited to try Jebana out. They have a dedicated vegan menu and most importantly, a vegan combo option which includes a little bit of everything to try! Everything was delicious and the mix of spices was lovely.

Food is very reasonably priced, portions are very big and they offered us an extra pancake to finish our lentils which was great. Will definitely be back to try their coffee as well!

Surprisingly good

There are a few very home brew looking African restaurants that have popped up. Intrigued by the idea of Ethiopian cuisine, I went.
There is a dedicated vegan menu, the main one to recccomend is the vegan combo which basically is a little of everything vegan on a pancake that the menu fellow says what is in it, can't really remember but might be butter? - anyway for £15 you get a lot of food and a lot of pancake to eat it with. The pancake is also the plate, as it's served as a tray.
There are a few vegan options.
The space itself has Ethiopian ornaments in a lot of places, including the roof, and even offers a shisha, should you want the equivalent of 100 cigs in 20 minutes!
Anyway the food I was really impressed with. It's basically spiced and dry sauced lentils, potatoes, carrots, beetroot slaw, salad and etcs. The pancake was slightly sour in taste and like a thick mat. You are supposed to pick up enough to eat, which for me took a while to get used to.
It's mildly spiced and quite flavourful, whilst seeming quite healthy. I found it very filling and we both ate for £15.
I do recccomend trying this place for something very different and very reasonable in cost.
Beside my fav tattooist as well, shout out Helen ✌️

Pros: Low cost , Healthy

Cons: Very small seating area

Delicious wholesome vegan menu

There is a vegan menu with many options. We shared an Ethiopian pancake with several dishes served on top. All delicious and a good variety of wholefoods. I had a spiced tea which was good also. Didn’t see the loos or where they could be. Friendly staff. Would return.
