Serves meat, vegan options available. This is the second location for Dama, and like the original one in Arlington, in addition to the all-vegan "veggie combo" (with 6 dishes) they offer mock meats made from homemade seitan (veggie versions of tibs, kitfo, dulet, and doro wat) as well as vegan cakes and cookies. During lent and other fasting periods they offer additional vegan dishes, and with advance notice can do special dishes and pastries (like vegan passion fruit cake or wedding cakes) upon request. Staff all know what is vegan. Previously known as Dama Ethiopian. Open Mon-Thu 10:30am-9:00pm, Fri-Sun 10:30am-9:30pm.

My first time but not last time! - Edit
This was my first time eating Ethiopian food. It’s customary to eat your food with your right hand. It was an exciting experience and I can’t wait to explore more hand eating.
Read moreThere are plenty of vegan options. Get a taste and order the vegetarian/vegan platter and you will get a sample of each. The food is plenty and it’s hard to even finish your plate. I will be back!

Amazing Food, Great Options! - Edit
This place is so great! Their food is delicious and full of flavor. Everything tastes perfectly seasoned. I loved getting to talk to one of the owners, who also happened to be vegan. She was even kind enough to offer us vegan cookies to try for free. Don't skip out on dessert when you come, the cakes and cookies here are amazing. Just ask which selections are vegan. I would highly recommend, this is a great locally owned business!
