Serves meat, vegan options available. Korean food restaurant. Offers a fully vegan version of the regular menu. Address: 서울 도봉구 도봉로118길 38 1층. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-8:00pm, Sun 11:00am-4:00pm.
Closed Sat.
I traveled over an hour to come try this place after I first heard of it.
백반 (baekban) is just a standard menu of soup, rice and side dishes. The side dishes may change daily. Here, you can add vegan stir fried meat too, not sure if they have fake meat sometimes or not, but mine was made freshly with mushrooms.
This is a new business run by a family, and I believe the kids are vegan or vegetarian, so there’s a vegan option for the menu. It’s honestly really hard to find a legit Korean restaurant that even knows what vegan is, and to be able to eat everything on the plate without asking if there is fish in something or meat in something is a great change of pace. The family is all so friendly and they asked me if I needed anything refilled or anything else a few times. I would have loved to but it was actually so filling I was afraid that I couldn’t finish it all if I ordered more.
It’s a really fair price and they cook the food right there in front of you. It’s all fresh, healthy, and not over seasoned. I got a filling meal for 10,000 won and even if you didn’t get the extra vegan 볶음 for 3,000 won like I did, I think you would leave full. Very worth it to go, especially if you are eating with omnis (or by yourself like me haha)
